Rating: Summary: I'm not really the organizer type.... Review: ...but pregnancy is one time in your life when you have to stay organized. (There are a lot of details to keep track of, after all.) So far, this organizer is working out really well for me. I like its compact size and its friendly, down-to-earth style. If you're in the market for a pregnancy organizer, you might want to check out this one.
Rating: Summary: My new pregnancy sidekick Review: I am totally loving this organizer. I have only been using it for about 10 days because I'm only 6 weeks pregnant. But it's already proven very useful. I used the checklist on pages 16-18 to prepare for my first prenatal appointment and then recorded the details of that visit in the following section. I've used the exercise chart to check on the safety of my fitness regime (I'm good to go so far) and I've been tracking my pregnancy symptoms on the "complaint department" chart on pages 60-61 (one of the best features in the book). The nutrition info in the resource guide is also helping me to find foods that actually appeal to me right now -- very helpful. I haven't had a chance to read through much of the shopping for baby material yet because it's a bit early for that, but that info looks very useful, too. I can't wait to record the details of how friends/family react when we tell them that we're pregnant AGAIN. There's even a place for that. :-)
Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: I am very impressed with this pregnancy organizer. It has the very types of information that you want in a pregnancy organizer: spaces to record details about your pregnancy, medical information, information about gifts that you have received, information about your birthing plans, details about what types of baby supplies you have purchased, etc. There is also a comprehensive resource guide that you can refer to while you are on the go (e.g., which types of cheese are/aren't safe to eat during pregnancy; a medications guide; foods that increase/decrease nausea; symptoms of preterm labor; etc.) There are also some blank calendar pages at the back of the organizer so your pregnancy organizer can replace your regular organizer for the duration of your pregnancy. The organizer is attractive and compact -- the perfect size for carrying in your handbag or briefcase.
Rating: Summary: Fun and cool organizer Review: I had a hard time finding a pregnancy organizer that I wanted to purchase until I stumbled across this one. A lot of other organizers are either ultra-feminine (not my style) or kind of preachy (not my style either), so I was pleasantly surprised to come across this very fun and cool pregnancy organizer. It's terrific. There's tons of room to record anything and everything about my pregnancy, and yet the format isn't so rigid that I have to feel guilty if I don't want to write stuff down every single day. (I don't want to be a slave to my pregnancy organizer.) The organizer is beautifully designed and contrary to what an earlier reviewer said, I haven't had any problem with the pages jamming at all. Maybe her book was defective or something.
Rating: Summary: Useful and a handy size Review: I really like the way this organizer is laid out and what is included: just what you need and not a lot of added filler. It's purse-sized, too, which is an added bonus if you want to carry it everywhere with you.
Rating: Summary: My new pregnancy sidekick Review: I spent a lot of time comparing organizers in my local bookstore before making the decision to purchase The Mother of All Pregnancy Organizers. I was drawn to this organizer for a couple of reasons. 1. I was looking for a compact organizer that would fit in my handbag. The 5 1/2" x 7" dimensions make it a nice size for carrying around. 2. I wanted a product that was friendly and fun. So many organizers are written in this ultra-earnest style that could make you totally obsessive and possibly a little crazy. The Mother of All Pregnancy Organizers really stands apart from the rest of the crowd on this front. 3. I wanted an organizer that was packed with all the essentials, but not a lot of extras. After all, if I'm going to be carrying this thing around for 9 months, I don't want it to have a lot of content I'm never going to use. 4. I wanted an organizer with an eye-catching and attractive design. The Mother of All Pregnancy Organizers uses the attractive line-art drawings from The Mother of All Pregnancy Books. The ink is an attractive shade of indigo -- very chic, in my opinion. 5. I wanted a book that contained useful medical information as well as the standard "keep track of your gifts," baby naming advice, etc. This organizer does the best job of delivering on that front, in my opinion. The fact that this book is written by one of my favorite pregnancy authors is simply a bonus. It's a great product.
