Review: Diabetes in the family is like a gorilla at the symphony: very disruptive and impossible to ignore! Families dealing with diabetes often have difficulty getting information about what to do medically together with practical advice about how to accomplish it in the real world. Dr. Rubin and I wrote Sweet Kids as a guide for those families and for the health care providers who work with them. For health and sanity, each family needs to discover the correct balance and integration of medical concerns and family life. Good diabetes control and happy, healthy families are a package deal. Review: This book contains the most common sense, practical information I have found yet for helping manage my toddlers diabetes. This is not a medical text, but an easy to read guide for managing insulin, meals and the behavioral problems related to diabetes. There are excellent suggestions on how to not let the behavioral problems develop. I highly recommend this "down to earth" book
