It can be used even before a divorce, if a couple or individual client is considering separation, but is mostly useful during the many stages that follow the break-up. It is a book and therapeutic tool to be used during the life of the post-divorce cycle, from divorce to final "recovery" from the divorce, and filled with ideas, practical information about the emotional process of the divorce, and strong writing exercises that can help clients better understand their emotional and practical needs, and control the negative fall-out that can often occur following a divorce. It can also help the couples therapist figure out how to best assess and help. Good addition for the library of marriage and couples therapists, and other therapists who work with divorce.
