Summary: Count on Math: Activities for Small Hands and Lively Minds
Review: Awesome! This book has been easy for me, a homeschooler, to use with both my 3-year old and 5-year old. Though they each are learning at different levels they are having fun and staying entertained. Materials used are easy to find around the house. Includes methods to evaluate progress, book and song lists for each learning unit and, for classroom teachers, a page to send home to parents so they can reinforce the learning going on in the classroom. It's been so great it's time to stop borrowing and buy my own. Highly recommend.

Summary: Great book for teaching math concepts to young minds!
Review: I teach Child Development at the College level. I was sent this book to review. I highly recommend it for parents of children 3-8, classroom teachers, homeschoolers and preschool teachers. Most people believe you should begin teaching math by teaching numbers and counting. Math is very conceptual. Before numbers are taught, children need to understand some relationships in time and space. This book is full of activites/experiments that do just that. An excellent way to begin building conceptual skills in young children (preschool) and a super way to teach and reinforce concepts in young elementary children. Parents also gain an understanding of certain terms such as numeration, seriation, etc. An excellent resource!
