She is now six and we still love this book. It is a special book, a playful book, a loving book. It remains a favorite even after five years and dozens of other books.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Bigger is better? Review: Every time the kid rabbit tries to express his love for papa rabbit, the big one has to one-up the kid! Even after the kid nods off, papa has to have the last word. What kind of lesson is that, I wonder? When reading it to my little one, it's hard not to make sarcastic comments along the way. Now that she's reaching the age of comprehension, I don't know whether to chuck it or change my tone... :-)

This is one of the books I read to him while he was there getting better. This book kept me going when it was hard to leave our "jewel" at the hospital. I don't see anything pretentious in this book. I love how Big Nut Brown Hare and Little Nut Brown Hare expressed their love to one another. Sometimes expressing ones love to a child this way is fun!

My husband and I love reading it to my son and he enjoys listening. This is the perfect "bonding" book for parent and child.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Most Wonderful Book Ever Review: We got this book 3 years ago for my then 2 year old daughter. I read it to her every night just before bed. Last Xmas she found a stuffed "Big Nutbrown Hare" and made my wife buy it for me from her as a Xmas Present. 2 months ago we discovered cancer in my daughter. 4 days after her surgery I was taking her for a walk in the hospital near the gift shop where she saw the book in the window and asked me to buy it so she could have it with her. She insists that everynight we read it to her before bed and every morning when she wakes up she reads it to us. She gets to be Big Nutbrown hare in the morning...telling us how much she loves us. This is the most wonderful book you can give to you child. The illustrations are so warm and inviting that with very little imagination your child feels like it is actually the 2 of you there.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Love is not about competition Review: I am a mother of two small children (ages 3 and 1) and I do not like this book. Several people have given it to us as gifts and I have gotten rid of it. It is about a competition between a parent and a child about who loves whom more. Love is not about competition--this book is nothing more than a game of "one-upsmanship" between family members. In our family we love each other without trying to quantify it. This book has been extremely overrated in my opinion and I don't understand why. I don't think its lesson is one parents should be imparting to their children
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A must for all new Fathers of sons! Review: As a new father, aside from Kipling's poem "If", I have yet to run across another work of literature that can so strongly convey my feelings for my new son. Every time I read this book, I am not simply reciting, I actually MEAN the words that I am saying! I have little doubt that I will be reading this book to my son for several years. To sum up; if you are a new father, this should be the first book you acquire to read to your infant.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A STORY TO SHARE AND REMEMBER... Review: Not since Robert Munch's, "I'll Love You Forever" (popular in the 1980's) have I seen such a delightful and touching children's book all about love. The beautiful bond between Big Nutbrown Hare and Little Nutbrown Hare will warm your heart and make you want to hug your child again and again just to show your never-ending love. The illustrations are enchanting and the message is one you and your child will be able to share and remember long after childhood becomes a distant memory. Open your arms "this.......wide," and show your child just how big your love truly is. This book brings out the little child in all of us and is deserving of five stars and more.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Guess How Much I Love This Book Review: I was working in an educational toy store when I first encountered this book. I fell in love instantly. The illustrations are classy and beautiful. And the story is delightfully told. The Little Nutbrown Hare and the Big Nutbrown Hare tell each other how much they love each other, back and forth until the ending, which I will not give away. I bought this book as a present for my boyfriend, who is 25 years old. It sits not on the bookshelf with all the other books, rather atop our computer tower, and is read on a very regular basis. This book is not just good for kids, but a loving gift for anyone you truely love.
