Summary: Simply Wonderful!!!
Review: Here's a gem of a book, with more than 300 Together-Time Activities for the mother and child. The books introduces visual and musical patterns, as well as poetry and rhymes, arts, and crafts, songs and dances, and lots of general fun and games. Mothers and their children are encouraged to follow along as they learn about each other as well as the fascinating world around them.

Whenever an activity is in place, you can be certain that the child is learning, as well as the parent, because we all learn from our children. A wonderful book, and some have said it is a "must have." Highly recommended!!

Summary: Wonderful for all moms!... A Must Have!!
Review: I am a single working mom and this book has been a lifesaver! It is down to earth, easy to read and understand and gives so much information and little tips to the side of pages. I don't get enough time to read in depth so this is wonderful. I love the way the author wrote in the words to childrens songs...I always forget a line or so. This will become a very important part of our play time together. I liked it so much I bought 3 more for cousins that are expecting and have young children.

Summary: Great book... great philosophy behind it
Review: I first thought that this book might be another collection of activities and would be limited to the "playgroup crowd." As a working parent whose child was in daycare from very early, we don't participate in playgroups. However, I quickly found out that this was not JUST another listing of activities nor was it limited to playgroups. I found the activities to be stimulating and fun for BOTH me and my son (and he's now 5½)... a great way for a working parent who wants to relax some on weekends and evenings to have fun with her child. The book definitely lives up to helping parents live Mommy & Me's philosphy: "Living, laughing and learning... Together." I'm getting the book for all of my friends with kids under 5, and those who are expecting!

Summary: What a great find!
Review: I recently got this book as a gift and was immediately impressed by how much great information there was in it. It is full of great ideas of things to do with your little one. I love the songs and the different activities. Whenever I start going crazy looking for things to do with my 2 year old daughter, I just pick a page in the book -- and it will keep us busy for an hour or more! I highly recommend this book for moms looking for fun things to do with their young children.

Summary: More than activities
Review: I recently was given this book as a shower gift, along with a couple of other how-to books. I can tell already that this is going to be the one I reach for most when I'm looking for things to do with my new baby and my preschooler. It's beautifully designed and has a great, fun spirit. The writer clearly knows what moms go through and has a warm, cheerful way of guiding you through the activities. I also enjoyed the range of information -- the Mommy's Memos and Mom, Did You Know columns are really interesting and cover topics from child development to scientific and historical trivia. With so many books out there telling new parents how to take temperatures and give baths to babies, it's nice to have one that tells you how to build confidence and develop skills just by spending time playing with your child.

Summary: Bonding and Understanding Your Child Through Creative Play
Review: I thought I was buying a Mommy and Me activity book for my neice and her new baby but I got so much more. As a mother who has sucessfully raised a daughter, and as an Art Therapist, I was thrilled to read so many wonderful ideas in one book. Art Therapists know that arts and crafts are important ways to communicate with your child; far beyond the end product that you and your child make. Dr. Nurik has combined her activities with information about developmental stages, what your child is learning, and how the activity increases bonding time. She seems like a really loving person too, she shares little tidbits about her daughter and husband, and even reminds us to put aside romance time with our husbands. I loved the Mommy's Memos in the margins; quick references about development and advice on typical new mommy concerns. I've always needed help with cooking projects and singing activities for young children and was glad to see them incorporated into the arts and crafts projects. I recommend this book to new mothers because it puts so many interesting ideas together in one easy to read place.

Summary: Wish I had this book when my son was younger!
Review: I was a little skeptical when I first got Fun with Mommy and Me, thinking it might turn out to be yet another activity book. However, both the design of the book and the philosophy behind it drew me in. As a working parent whose child has always been in daycare, we don't get to participate in playgroups (tried Gymboree and just didn't like it). However, I've always been on the lookout for activities to do with my son on weekends and evenings. This book gave me a wealth of ideas that would be stimulating and fun for BOTH of us! The ideas presented in the book live up to the slogan of "Living, laughing and learning... together." I'm getting this book for all my friends who are expecting and those who have kids under 5... it's a keeper!

Summary: Dynamite!
Review: The authors have written a book that one can read with one hand while changing a diaper with the other. This is not rocket science--you can make sense of it quickly and easily, and that's essential when you have a toddler in the house! Get it. Read it. And get on the Mommy & Me track. In a year where everything has gotten exceedingly more difficult, thanks for making my life easier. A grateful Aunt--who needs all the help she can get!

Summary: an informative book for parents and teachers
Review: This is a MUST book for all parents! It is simple and easy to use with loads of activites that aid in bonding with your child and helping them develop. It should be given to ALL new parents! I was really impressed with the book...and that is not easy.
