Summary: Truly the best book on the topic
Review: This is absolutely the very best book available on working with children who are living on the edge. So many other books (including mine) talk about how to see and work with children with learning disabilities and AD/HD, but very, very few deal with what to do with and about those children who are either neurologically impaired or so damaged by the pain of growing up "a hunter in a farmer's world" that they're lashing back or out of control. George's book is all about that. Brilliant. You will find this book incredibly useful!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: unecessarily technical - real work to get through
Review: Though this book dealt with all the right issues, it was so fogged with psycho-techno-terminology, one has the sense it is written for professionals rather than parents. Though I am an educated person, I found this book to be very off-putting, where I'm sure it was intended to be warm and helpful. I can't recommend this, I'm afraid.
