Rating: Summary: Book's content not adequate for easy learning Review: Book contained 15,000 conjugations but in very small print. Also, there were no Spanish to English translation for the 15,000 verbs. You had to already know what the verb meant. I found this book only slightly useful and would not reccomend it. There are much better books out there for the same price.
Rating: Summary: A pleasant surprise! The best for less. Review: Every serious student of Spanish must have two tools(a good bi-lingual dictionary and a complete guide to the conjugation of the verbs. This book does not provide translations of Spanish verbs (that is the function of the dictionary), but it does provide clear, easily readable keys to the conjugation of any verb one is apt to meet. The index, I am sure contains at least 15,000 entries, each pointing to one of 79 pattern verbs, which are the heart of the book. The pattern verb pages are in a completely standardized format, with the irregular letters clearly indicated in red, for all appropriate tenses, persons and number. This litle book is the best I have found. It is a constant companion to my own small dictionary, and I strongly recommend it to all my intermediate and advanced students as well as anyone else who is seriousabout using Spanish.

Rating: Summary: Very Helpful Refrance Book Review: I am a 4rd year Spanish student and found this book to be a very helpful refrence book, however the presentation of the verbs may not help someone who is just learning the launguage.
Rating: Summary: A pleasant surprise! The best for less. Review: I thought 501 Spanish Verbs published by Barron's Education Series was indispensable for learning Spanish until I came across 15,000 Spanish Verbs, by accident.
Rating: Summary: Hi Readers, Review: Thanks for your interest in my book. The reason I compiled this book is best summed up in the opening sentence of the preface page of the book. "I hope this book makes your study and use of Spanish easier and more enjoyable." I do several things to achieve that goal. First, I print in red the exact letters that are irregular, so you can find them at a glance. No other Spanish verb book does this. Second, I include 3,000 more verbs than any other Spanish verb book. (I know, I checked!) Third, I arrange the pattern verbs in alphabetical order so they are easy to find, since some of the most frequently-used verbs are the pattern verbs. Fourth, I alphabetize the list of verbs using the method approved by the Spanish language academies on April 27, 1994. Now ch and ll, at any place in a word, are alphabetized the same as in English. Fifth, I include a translation guide using hablar "to speak", as the pattern. Sixth, I put the subjunctive next to its counterpart indicative so you can learn to use them in tandem, just like native speakers do. (If you are not ready to learn the subjunctive, you can bypass it.) Seventh, I keep the book small so you can put it in your hip pocket and take it anywhere for easy reference. Eighth, I got a neutral teacher to test the book in the classroom: 150 7th and 8th graders studying Spanish in public school in Fairfax County, Virginia, used the book for an entire school year. They gave the book high marks. The book is so simple that it is used by 7th graders. It is so comprehensive and authorative that it is used by skilled translators. This is a conjugation reference book. It does not contain practice exercises or verb translations. A good dictionary does a better job of verb translations than any verb book I have found. OK, so I had one more reason to compile this book: I enjoy using a book that has all these features. Maybe you or someone you care about would enjoy using it too.
