Summary: This is a thoughtful, very readable book with good ideas.
Review: While there is no one "absolute formula" for raising children to be healthy adults, Jeanie Davis Pullen approaches the topic with practical ideas. The short chapter format she has used makes the book very readable in today's busy world. And she asks us to think as parents--what qualities do we most value and want to see in our children as adults? I found several of her ideas to be novel yet usable. And she encourages us to think about what we are doing as parents and to have a game plan of sorts. I highly recommend the book for new parents, old parents, grandparents and those just thinking about entering the wild world of being mom and dad.
