Rating: Summary: Not that good Review: This book is full of unscientifically proven advices. Some of those advices and hints must have come from long experience, but there is no clear distiction for the layman which one works and which don't. In addition to this, the language used in this book is addressing an American audience. It uses a lot of American slang that might not be familiar to non-Americans.
Rating: Summary: The New Mom's Manual Review: This book is very well written and thoroughly researched. There is a lot of useful information for new mother's. I have 2 children, and it would have been nice to have an informational book available when they were born.

Rating: Summary: Absolutely a Must for the New Mom! Review: What a delightful book! This gem is perfect for the first time, or any time Mom who might need solutions to infant dilemmas. Menna has cleverly captured real Mom solutions to many every day problems and presented them in an enjoyable question and answer format. The material presented can be surprising and unusual to some, but I've tried many of the tips and can say that they truly work--and it is as entertaining as it is helpful!
Rating: Summary: The New Mom's Manual Review: What a super approach Mary Jeanne Menna has taken in this book for helping a new mom with all of the unknown fears she is sure to have. I have often found in the past that most baby books can be dull and also confusing especially when mom is stressed out from a crying child. All of the moms that have helped Menna write her book with their "Been There-Done That" problem solving ideas certainly should help a new mom overcome a lot of her fear before problems arise. I strongly recommend the book to new dads too as there will be times when mom is away. The book gives very simple solutions to the every day problems of a new baby in the home. The book is entertaining to read so mom and dad both will remember in the future some of the solutions when a problem arises.
