Review: I loved this book....it makes the greatest baby shower gift. I always relied on the advice from my girlfriends over most of the material I read and this book is just that. Most books assume you've covered the basics and really as a new mom I didn't even know some of the simple stuff like swaddling. I've given this book to pregnant friends already. I especially like the colic information. My first baby had colic and most people just assume this is something you just have live through....I wish I'd had some of these tips then.

Review: I really found the book helpful, as a new mom of twins I have use several of the tips already. The "Baby-Proofing" your home information was really helpful. I feel more confident being a mom! I enjoyed the whimisical and easy to read format. As an aspiring artist I found the sketchs to be very complimentary to the subject matter. Thanks Jane.

Review: I really liked this book (my DD 4 months old). My mother commented that some of the best tips are things she used to do when she had her children. Many parents today don't know about these tried-and-true remedies from the good old days. I think the post partum and spouse chapters were excellent. Tells it like it is!

Review: My mother gave this book to me when I was having trouble putting my then-newborn son to sleep (he was only 1 week old). I read some of the tips, and quite a few of them worked. I won't say which ones, though. Also, I took some advice from the travel section about sending stuff ahead to your destination. That really worked. There's lots of other helpful information here, from clothing to diapering. All in all, it is a great book to have around. I would definitely recommend this to all of you who are expecting your first child.
