Rating: Summary: Simply great! Review: I am an avid reader of books on health and I found this book to be a real gem for my library collection. I have presented it to many of my friends over the age of 40 - for I believe that "aging well" should start early. This book has helped me and my parents, and all other relatives and friends enormously. It should be on everyone's bookshelf.

Rating: Summary: Nothing to do with aging well... book about frail elderly Review: I found the title and promise of the book incredibly misleading. Thinking I might have gotten something new and refreshing from the best university in the world, all I got was a textbook, poorly written and boreing, filled with clues and recipes of how to take care of sick frail old people. This book has nothing to do with aging well and only to do with taking care of sick old people. If this is aging well, I don't have much faith in these authors of what aging well is. Don't waste your money. -John, age 64
Rating: Summary: A Treasure of information Review: I have really enjoyed reading this book. It has given me insight into the aging process from a medical and scientific point of view which very few books do. Armed with this knowledge, I feel more confident about taking care of my parents and of my own health. Thank you Dr. Jeanne Wei and Dr. Sue Levkoff for sharing with us this wealth of information!
Rating: Summary: An excellent book Review: Readers of all ages will benefit from the vast amount of information contained in this book. It will help not only seniors to better understand the changes in their body systems with age, but also guide the careproviders and their children in assisting them in every aspect of life. The book provides details of complex medical issues in simple, non-medical terms. These explanations enable every reader to make better decisions regarding one's health care. This book will definitely enrich the experience of aging for anyone who reads it.
Rating: Summary: Aging is for Everyone - This book is for everyone who ages Review: Since everyone begins to age as soon as he/she is born, this book is for everyone who can read and cares about his/her physical and emotional well-being. Although it is presumably written for us older folks, young people who care about living a healthy life can begin to follow the various directions covered in this book. People who are conscientious about their physical health can start on a healthy diet, a healthy exercise program, and a healthy attitude toward life in their teens! Sometimes it might be too lete to correct all the mistakes one has made in one's earlier life by the time one reaches 65. This book very abundantly covers just about every aspect of a healthy life from two highly qualified medical professionals. I believe the younger a person starts reading and following this book the longer and happier life he/she will lead. Reader: Eugene at age 60 in Sept. this year. Thank you authors for this book.
Rating: Summary: A Great book Review: This book is an excellent reference for anyone interested in the aging process. It is easy to read and yet provides a depth of knowledge not readily available in other books. It is also a superb gift for anyone who enjoys life and desires to continue doing it, by aging well!
Rating: Summary: Superb and most comprehensive Review: This book really is an encyclopedia of knowledge about the process of aging as well as the various diseases commonly found in older individuals. It covers every organ system in the body and even provides information on the medications used to treat the age-related disorders. The book also covers the social impact of aging, and gives a list of useful resources for assitance. It promises no magic potions for reversal of the aging process, but provides accurate and scientific information to improve one's health, no matter how frail. Aging is an invetable process, and for those of us who are realistic, this book is superb!

It also has allowed us to ask appropriate questions and really get a handle on our disease. I recommened it for everyone
