Rating: Summary: Oprah blew it on this Book Review: Family Circle's Kathy Peel did a great job (as always) showing us how to solve the time shortage in our busy lives. This book is sure helping here! But my other time bandit was the energy and money I was wasting because my financial life wasn't in order. To solve the money issues I got a book from another Family Circle columnist, Nancy Lloyd. Her book, "SIMPLE MONEY SOLUTIONS: 10 Ways You Can Stop Feeling Overwhelmed By Money and Start Making It Work For You" has come to my rescue. Stop wasting time or money. Get both books!

Rating: Summary: Useless! Trust me, you already know this stuff! Review: I bought two Kathy Peel books, after seeing them hyped up on a TV talk show. What a waste! Like I didn't already know that making the kids lunches before going to bed would make the morning easier. This book is full of obvious information. You would have to be completely out of touch to not already know this stuff! Trust me, do not waste your money!!!!
Rating: Summary: Be Your Best, The Family Manager's Guide to Personal Success Review: I never seemed to have enough time or money. This book showed me how to prioritize and get more done in less time. "SIMPLE MONEY SOLUTIONS," by Nancy Lloyd, also a Family Circle columnist, showed me how to stretch my money with original ways not just to pinch pennies, but to pinch dollars! It will work for you too.

Rating: Summary: Oprah blew it on this Book Review: I saw this book promoted on Oprah recently, so on her recommendation I bought it. My assessment is that anyone with a lick of common sense already knows everything in this book. I am very disappointed both in content and delivery and wonder what Oprah was thinking. Maybe she didn't read it but just took her staffs' word?
Rating: Summary: Be Your Best, The Family Manager's Guide to Personal Success Review: I was skeptical at first.I am a Stay at Home Mom and so Kathy Peel's other books did not apply. This one is for all Moms. It addresses "burn-out" and what and how to do about it. Loved it so much, I am buying one for my best friend.

Rating: Summary: Peel Does It Again Review: Kathy Peel's previous books did a great deal to help me with thinking about myself as someone who's tasks in the home are valuable. Her new books helps me understand that I have to value myself first in order to function as a super family manager. She reminds us that she can't simply wave her wand over us to make us successful home managers, but that we can take steps in order to acheive this ourselves. For me the most helpful chapter is "Finding Time for You" -- I have spent the better part of year "working" on projects only to sit down this past weekend and realize that I haven't really done anything. She gives you bunches of tricks to make your life work better for you. Another great feature of this book is "The Bottom Line" -- for those of us who simply don't have enought time to read her thorough and detailed chapters, she summarizes her main points. The thing about this book is that it packages things that on some level we all know, and presents them so that we don't feel stupid when it seems new. Kathy Peel is an absolute inspiration -- and human to boot. I would rather emulate her than the know-it-all from the Northeast any day.
