Summary: Teach Values and Responsibility
Review: This was one of the best books on parenting that I have seen in a long time. Good and Angry provides the tools that many parents are looking for to get the kind of behavior we want from our children. These values are respect, kindness, compassion, responsibility, and religious values that are absent in most other parenting techniques. Children of all ages positively respond to these techniques.

The best thing about these techniques is that parents teach and children learn in a way that does not damage self-esteem or the parent/child bond. Love and respect replace anger and yelling. As Turansky and Miller explain, "Anger identifies a specific problem, then it can be dealt with."

Turansky and Miller explain and give clear, understandable examples from every-day life to compliment each section. Their writing/teaching style is very easy for all education levels to comprehend; if you don't have a phD you will still benefit from Turansky and Miller's books. I have most of them in my library and they have helped me to help other parents struggling with tough issues of today.

Turansky and Miller also give workshops that are top notch! If you ever have the opportunity to attend one in your area- treat yourself and prepare to learn and be transformed. If you are tired of yelling, being angry, frustrated, and ready to 'give up' - these books are for you.

Summary: Some People Don't Get It!
Review: Unlike some people who have a clear bias against any advice that comes from the Bible, I found the guidance in this book to be very sound and practical. Our modern world has been completely turned upside down by the influence of atheistic thinking and one place it is showing up very strongly is with the secular world dictating to us all the "politically correct" ways in which we should rear our children.

Using the Creator's instruction manual for direction, which only builds good character into those who wish to truly follow it (instead of pervert it or ignore it), is one of the reasons Western civilization has prospered and lasted as long as it has. Those who disregard this fact, clearly demonstrate an ignorance of history and a foolish willingness to bring an end to the liberty they now enjoy. The affect of the atheistic worldview always brings oppression and destruction to any society it is allowed to control.

For those who wish to bring up their children in freedom and liberty, by teaching them about God's loving character and the moral restrictions He has given us to protect and bless us, this is a great book. Those who have a problem with their Creator will not like this book, as it points people to bring up children to have a godly and righteous character. The only question is, "What do you want for your children?"

Summary: Great parenting book for Christians
Review: Well, if you are not a Christian and don't like to hear Scripture about parenting, then you will not like this book. But if you are looking for help with parenting from a BIBLICAL perspective, all Scott and Joanne's books are great and filled with practical parenting advice that you can actually implement. It is definately worth the money!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great book if you are serious about parenting!
Review: Yes, this book does have biblical references, but it works... that's all that I can say. Character is what our society needs today, and this book gives you specifics on how to shape your children with character.
