Rating: Summary: Excellent advice for children who hardly eat. Review: He uses a behavioral approach to getting children to eat. After medical problems have been diagnosed and treated, the author shares many case studies on how to get kids to eat. I have a child with autism, and his advice works!
Rating: Summary: A Life Saver for Worried Parents and Underweight Children Review: I have struggled for eighteen months with the eating habits of my twenty month daughter. We have visited doctors, speech thearapists and dietitians without hearing anything that made any impact on our limited success with a child who appears to have no appetite and who spat out or vomited most solid food provided. At last this book has provided an upbeat approach which we have put into practice and benefited from positive results within days! I feel eternally indebted to the author for sharing his experiences.
Rating: Summary: Poor Eaters: Helping Children Who Refuse to Eat Review: This is hands down the best book around for parents who have children with feeding problems. It is practical and precise. It was a lifesaver for me and I have seen a big difference in my son's feeding since I implemented the strategies in the book.
Rating: Summary: Poor Eaters. Helping children who refuse to eat Review: Very, very helpful. I've been having problems with my son's eating for 3,5 years and was thinking abour seeing a children's psychologist, but decided to give this book a try. I am glad I did because now my son eats peaches, eggs, meat, vegetables - and used to he would eat only pasta and rice. Dr.Macht has done a great job studying children with eating problems and finding the way to help them. This book not only helped my 4-year old, but it made me feel better because now eating is not a battle, it is time which the whole family enjoys.
