Review: What a pleasure it was to read this book. Shannon does a beautiful job of sharing what are very personal and private feelings and experiences. The strength she and her family have are amazing. They persevere through many stumbling blocks and trials to provide love and security to a child who might not otherwise have such blessings. I have no intention of adopting a child but was uplifted and encouraged by reading this book to push through whatever trials I might have in life because wonderful things could be waiting for me at the end. Thank you Turner Family for sharing your experiences with us.

She paints a picture of the events as they unfold with such clarity that I felt like the experiences were mine rather than hers. Because of Shannon's faith and determination, she has served as a blessing to me and an inspiration as I travel on my journey to adopt my own child from China. The details of the adoption process and details of time spent in China are very helpful to those waiting to go through the same thing.
