Summary: Review From A Single Dad
Review: I encourage single parents, male or female to make this a part of your library. Especially for full-time single dads. Often we can feel "out there" on our own. But Patrice Karst does a phenomenal job of relating to the feelings and encounters that single parents often feel only happen to them. Most importantly, she does it all with a humorous, honest and down to earth approach that leaves you feeling inspired and ready to take on the daily challenges of parenting alone or apart from your child's father/mother. Patrice includes a note to single dad's in the book which explains why she is addressing the single mom's alone. She definitely hits home with her target audience, but don't worry, guys. She hits home with us as well. I recommend this book highly.

Summary: It is a must for any single mother
Review: This is a wonderful book to read for any single mother taking on the very difficult task of raising kids in todays world. Her down to earth sense of humor on the ups and downs of parenting alone is reassuring. A great tool to have on hand to read over and over again.

Summary: Married mom-living like a single mom....
Review: Great book. I am married, but living like a single mom. Trust me on that one. I do everything mentally and physically. The book had great ideas, suggestions, opinions, and a great sense of humor too. Good luck to not only single moms-but all moms! :-)

Summary: Thank you for this book!!!
Review: My book arrived on a particularly bad day, as we single mother's sometimes have. I am the mother of two girls, ages 7 and 4 whose father has decided not to be a part of their lives. Anyways, this book gave me the lift and reminder of hope that I needed!!! I do have wonderful children, and we will get through this - and most importantly - we are not alone - there are 14 million others just like me. This book is a special gift if you are a single mother, you need this book!!! If you know a single mother, buy it for her!!! Thank you Patrice and God bless you and your family.

Summary: some helpful bits
Review: This book although bright and cheery was a bit of a disappointment. It has a lot of pick me up advise but quite frankly it didn't say anything new. It is great if you need cheering on or some words of comfort or are new to solo parenting and it has some good points on societies attitude and lack of help for solo mother's. Solo Dad's are not included, however much of the content would be as relevant for them.

Summary: The Gift of Giving Single Mom's a Piece of Mind
Review: I think this book is great because it expresses the idea a responsibilities that women face being the only parent. It also gives you some reassurance for when the going gets tough. I feel if you are a single mom and sometimes you wonder if you are alone and things are getting hard to cope with. The Single Mother's Survival Guide will sure enough brighten your spirts and your day. I am a single mom myself and I think this book is a keeper and if you are single mom you should aquire yourself a copy.

Summary: Stressed Single Mom
Review: Thank You Patrice Karst. You have written a book that will definitely help with the stress of single motherhood. This book has made me open my eyes a whole new world. I know now that I am not alone anymore. The wisdom and truth in this book really hits a nerve. It made me realize that I can be a person as well as a good mother at the same time. It showed me that I can be strong and believe in myself while still raising my 1.3 year old. I hope that every single mother out there reads this book and it helps them as much as it did me.

Summary: Feel Good, Excellent Resource
Review: Reading this book lightened my heart and touched my soul. I learned and was reassured that other Mom's felt the way I did, which is what I needed to keep going. Patrice writes the book with a smile, her sense of humor about life and how to deal with different situations was wonderful. The common sense suggestions were right on and I welcome any other books from Patrice. Being a single Mom is an incredibly important job, that is often not recognized and validated. Living as a single Mom with a baby (my daughter is 1.5 yrs old) in a "couples" world is like running up a hill wearing high heels! Read this book, it will lift your spirit.

Summary: A God Send!
Review: The truth of the matter is that anyone thinking of divorce or in the middle of a divorce needs this book! It does not paint a rosey picture by any means, but definately gives the picture of truth and what we need to know! That our children and ourselves in that order are the most important things in the world! And not to let anyone drag us down for what we are trying to do! We need support, love and acceptance! And really need to work at getting it anywhere we can! The book made me laugh, gave me a bit of a knot in my stomach at times, but for the most part helped me to decide that what I am doing is the right thing to do, and should have done it years ago! Thank you for this book!
