Summary: Absolutely the best book on this topic!!
Review: WOW! what a great book...none of the usual "practical" stuff...but real stuff for real single mums!! would recommend (and have already) to all!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very encouraging!
Review: I got the book, and was surprised to find how useful it was. It encouraged me in a way no one in my life has, and understood just what us, single mothers, go through every day. It made me realize how imporant the job we do really is, and how important it is for us, single moms to be there for one another and be supportive of eac other. I recommend it. Good Luck to you with yours!

Summary: Perfect Pick Me Up!
Review: This book not only made me feel that in an imperfect world I can do the job that God intended me to do but it also made me realize that there are women out there that are dealing with the same problems as I am. I felt that Patrice really knows from experience what I am embarking on as a single mother. I know that some of the worlds greatest teachers learn from experience and to me what better teacher can you have than her......
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! This book made me laugh out loud, and that was something I so desperately needed. Small enough to carry in my purse so that way if I need reassurance I just pull it out and begin reading what she as well as what I wrote in the self help pages! If you have an hour or so read the book you will be glad you did!

Summary: Fluff
Review: I agree with the reviewer who said this book is lightweight. If you need encouraging hallmark-style aphorisms, pick this one up. If you want actual helpful hints for survival, don't bother. I was looking for the latter and was disappointed.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: way too lightweight
Review: I had high hopes for this book & was totally disappointed. The best (only) line in the book was in the excerpts. Instead of specific help, I found only candy sweet aphorisms.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Just what I needed to hear...
Review: Patrice hits it on the head when she said that single moms don't get the verbal recognition we need. But she says exactly what we need to hear, and most of her advice is right on the money. Read this book during a nap or some down time and it'll have you laughing and crying, feeling proud to be who you are. Because moms are moms - first and foremost. Single is just a circumstance!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not much new wisdom...
Review: I enjoyed this book but it is really about a night's read. There's not much in here I didn't know, it was reaffirmation rather than learning from a single mom about things I didn't know.

If you're looking for advice, it isn't here; if you're looking to commiserate and feel that you're doing just fine as a single mom, then you'll enjoy the witty comments.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Hope
Review: This book gave me hope. It made me realize that their are other single moms out there dealing with the same issues that I do. I am 23 and I have a four year old, and I felt that I can be a better parent to my son. I love this book and I will tell other single moms about it. I am grateful that people like Patrice have the time to sit down and teach other moms about the issues that come up in life. Thank you Patrice....

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A MUST HAVE FOR ALL SINGLE MOTHERS
Review: Patrice Karst really puts in perspective the life of a single mother. Her sense of humor is wonderful. Any single mother, no matter what their circumstances are, should have this book. It is a book you can refer to over and over. She gives us hope and courage to be the best we can be.
