Author Al Newman is one of the nation's leading urologists and has been treating sexual dysfunction problems for two decades. Married and the father of two children, he lives and practices in Montgomery, Alabama. He holds B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry from the University of Alabama, an M.D. from the University of South Alabama, and trained at Baylor College of Medicine under Dr. Brantley Scott, developer of the penile implants used today. Dr. Newman is one of 15 urologists now participating in a national FDA study on penile prostheses and is also conducting a double-blind study on the role of Viagra with patients who already have penile implants. In his spare time, and with his wife, Carolyn, he is an avid collector of art.

The book has no limitations of persons who might read the book. The medical professionals and those doctors that would recommend this book for greater indepth knowledge to their patients is a must, but it is also a book that could be used by other professionals, such as Health Professors,and Counselors. The ease with which the content is shared makes it a book that any lay person would find helpful. A book that everyone should own.

Review: This book is excellent and is a must-have for anyone who is suffering from sexual dysfunction. It is very well written and very easy to read. The two things that I think make this book so great are that #1-It seems very thorough and up-to-date and includes everything you could possibly want to know about sexual dysfunction, and #2-It is very well written and easy to read! There is a good table of contents as well as a good index for quick reference, but there is also a "plain-talk summary" after each chapter where Dr. Newman summarizes the chapter in very simple terms. This makes it very easy to read! Sure the book talks about viagra, but it is much more than that. Dr. Newman begins by discussing both the anatomy and physiology of the male and female sexual response and then devotes one chapter to each of the many different sexual problems that one may encounter - going into great depth but using a writting style that is easy to understand. I'd recommend this book for any couple who wants to know more about what problems they may have, why these problems arise, and what the different treatment options are.
