Summary: An essential book for every woman!
Review: I am a 24 year old woman and this book has helped me so much! The great thing about this book is that you can read only the things that pertain to you. You do not have to read all of its pages to get the message or find out what you want to know. I strongly urge every woman, old and young to read it!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best book I have ever read on women's health
Review: I was given the English edition of this book and I think it is brilliant. Christiane Northrup is obviously a very special healer. In this book she demonstrates how our emotions affect our physical health. She shows us that if we look at ourselves and what is going on in our lives we can often see the relationship between our emotions and our physical illness. She is also very strong on healing and what we can do for ourselves on every level, orthodox and by thinking about our illness in a different way. I have given this book to so many women and all of them recommend it to others. It is a book for life and it is good to have a version adapted for England. The publisher is Piatkus if anyone wants to know.

Summary: The best women's health book I have ever read.
Review: As a Chi Gung master, Shaman, and author with over 30 years experience in esoteric healing and energy work, I have found this book to be one of the most beneficial feminine health books I have ever read. I highly recommend this book to all women of all ages. In fact, I use it regularly in my weekly Women's Healing Group. Buy this book and then buy another copy for a girlfriend.

Summary: This book was much more than I expected!
Review: I had no idea when I bought this book just how much and how often I would use it, Yes! USE it! Any question I have about what's going on in my body or mind, I look up and am able to read more about. I've been able to speak with my doctor on a much more direct level given the information I've preread on the topics. She's also been very impressed with how much more I know and ask about as a result of this book. I'm buying a copy for my friend because she borrows it so often. For a woman, it's a must have.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I keep buying copies, then giving them away, even to my Dr.
Review: This book is powerful information for any woman who wants to really take care of herself...and humorously tells you why and how to do just that. I have given copies to my daughters, one just weeks before she delivered her first baby. She was really scared of the birth process, and read the chapters on pregnancy and childbirth as I asked. After the delivery, she told me how she drew on the information Dr. Northrop wrote from personal experience....and was thrilled at how much it made sense and really worked. I then gave my next copy to my own internist, pregnant with her first child who wasn't taking the time to "be pregnant". She wrote a thank you note to say how much she had gotten out of the book, and had given herself permission to be a little less of a doctor to all of her patients and more of a mother to this unborn child. Give yourself a great present, buy the book and READ IT from front to back.

Summary: Absolutely brillaint! The best yet for women!
Review: A friend in the US bought this for me and sent it to me in NZ. It is an amazing book. It is very down to earth about all sorts of womens issues. A must read!

Summary: This book will save your life, when you're ready.
Review: This is a book that focusses on healing your body, not curing your disease. It is a difficult concept at first, especially if you are still hoping that your doctors are going to "cure" you. When I first bought the book, I looked up specific ailments and was disapointed with the lack of simple answers. Three years later I realize that this is its gift.

Ms. Northrup provides a clear explanation of each field of our bodies and the emotions they relate to. She believes that digging down and facing these emotions is the only way to free our bodies to heal themselves. The book provides countless case histories that prove this point gently, holding a mirror to our own lives to help us see more clearly. The final chapters of the book present a 12-step program for healing, one day at a time.

I highly recommend this book for every woman of child-bearing age, and for every mother who wants to raise a secure and healthy daughter.

Summary: read it with an open mind...and you can learn a lot
Review: I have recently begun to read everything that I can find that addresses the problems I have encountered during perio-menopause. I experienced unwanted side-effects with the HRT that my OB/GYN prescribed and was sure that there must be some alternative to consuming the urine of pregnant horses for the next decade. (that's what Premarin is, folks!) This is the most comprehensive book I have read. I rented it at the local library, renewed if for another two weeks, then came to Amazon.com and bought it. I have recommended this book to every woman I talk to. I bought it as a Christmas present for my niece and her mother. I hope that my OB/GYN (who is a male) will read it too. Some of the other reviews talked about the "hocus-pocus" aspects of the author's viewpoint. There were things that I question, but I will investigate them further, rather than dismiss them from my mind. Just because someone makes you look at your life as a woman...in a female body... from a totally different point of view.....does not make that person wrong.

Summary: A must book for all women to have in their library.
Review: Dr. Northrup's Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom has been a constant source for me to refer to for creating my own health by using her many guidelines and realizing there is an inner wisdom to tap into. I have purchased at least 15 copies for family and friends, because I believe all women should have this book. Her monthly newsletter, tapes, and video tapes are excellent, too.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: It is one of the best books ever written for women
Review: I caught part of Ms. Northrup's seminar Women's Bodies, Women's Choices on my local PBS channel. I was amazed at the things she had to say. Less than a week later I purchased her book. It has significantly changed the way I perceive my body and my life. The book is easy and fun to read. It isn't written as a strictly "scientific" manual. Although, she has scientific material that supports the spiritual belief that our bodies are alway trying to communicate with us. If I could, I would purchase this book for every women I know, have known, or have met on the street. I truly believe that if women everywhere would read and understand just part of the material in this book, an abundance of miraculous healings would take place, and forever change the world as we know it.
