Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This book filled me with awe and reverence ... Review: This book filled me with awe and reverence... for the mircale of birth, yes...but, much more: for all the incredible creation around us, and the incredible creations we ALL are...I've just read this book...and will be reading it often in the future, I'm sure...It's a lovely book for welcoming newborns and for children to help them see their place in the world...BUT...my first copy will be a gift to a friend who will be 69 this week-end! It is a perfect expression of gladness and thanksgiving for the life of anyone you love and care about! I'm sure many relatives and friends will be getting copies from me soon!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Makes a child feel the world anticipated their birth Review: This book makes a child feel as if the world came together in peace and love to witness the energy of their birth. That they truly sent a shock wave and every creature felt the rythym. It was a gift from a friend, and my most cherished book. Perfect for newborns and baby showers,,but also for low self esteem children
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This book has become a family favorite -- a beautiful story. Review: This book moves me to tears each time I read it. Though we have probably received over 100 baby gifts, none has been more special than this one. I will cherish the story forever.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A beautiful book. Review: This book was a baby gift from some of our dearest friends, and everyone in our family loves it. My husband loves its use of science; I love the lyrical language and the way it shows how the child fits into the wonderful mystery of the earth; and my 2-year-old son just wants to hear it over and over. Our copy is all ripped up from heavy use, and I'm buying another one to save for when he's older.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A beautiful, lyrical and touching welcome to wee ones! Review: This book was given to me by my mother, on the day my daughter was born. I can't read it without feeling that tender lump rise in my throat, and even included a reading of it in my daughter's Blessing ceremony. This book reinforces how wonderful, special and treasured that children are. From the lovely illustrations to the story of the entire Mother Earth's presence and assistance in "giving birth", this is a must-have for any loving parent/child pair.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A truly enchanting book ! Review: This book was introduced to me recently, in an education class. My teacher, who is also a teacher of young children, showed the book with it's incredible pictures, and played the audio tape. Both were wonderful. I plan on purchasing both the book , and the audio tape, to use in my future classroom!
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Very strange! Review: This book was not at all what I expected. The pictures are unattractive and the text is downright freaky. I returned it immediately.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Brought tears to my eyes! Review: This has been a favorite baby gift to several people - the most fun were those signed by Debbie herself! I now am going to be a GRANDMOTHER (!!!) and am looking forward
to reading this to my grandchild. If Debbie sees
this I'd love your autograph again. But more important, people I never dreamed - cried when
they read this very poignant (?) and beautiful
book. Well done Debbie - hope to read more of
yours. Thank you! Ellen Barnes
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: our birthday tradition Review: This has to be one of my and my 3 boys (15, 12, 10 years old) books. We love it and would love to get the pictures to frame in a suitable format. We read it every birthday night and oooh and aaah over it. IT is a great gift and a wonderful, wonderful, book. From Garrett, age 10: It is my favorite story in the world. It is so cool.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Sweet, great art, and enviro-friendly Review: This is a great book that really has made my son (now 3 1/2) feel special. It has lovely, colorful illustrations that would catch the eye of a very young reader, and the basic gist of the book - all about the patterns of the heavens, earth and "all the creatures" and the new life of the baby are all quite gentle and sweet. The language is nicely but not annoyingly repetitive.
