Review: Mr. Clark seems like a high energy, innovative soul who genuinely cares for his students. The workbook, however, is disappointing. It is mostly a compilation of busy work exercises. One particular multiple-choice activity directs students to match a person with something he or she may have dropped. I feel certain Mr. Clark's own role-playing activities (mentioned in his book The Essential 55) hold far more meaning and value for students. Mr. Clark might better serve parents and teachers by providing suggestions, scenarios, and guidelines for managing those more memorable experiences.
