Summary: a great read
Review: I am amazed that despite the amount of information this book has, it is very inexpensive! This 42-page (not including references) book has enough info to fill 200 pages! This also means that the info was packed in very tightly, which made each paragraph by itself a lot to take it!

I do not totally agree with the author on etiologies and mechanisms, but Sherry Rodgers (MD) definitely impressed me with this book. It is refreshing to see such open-mindedness and yet such clinginess to sound science.

In this book Rodgers discusses, among other things, nutritional status, genetic changes, proposed mechanism behind spreading phenomenon, and an absolutely fascinating section titled "DEBUKING THE MYTH THAT ITS 'ALL IN YOUR HEAD.'" In that section Rodgers discusses evidence implicating elevated chloral hydrate levels in MCS. Chloral hydrate is the chemical used in "slipping a mickey" that makes you pass out. This partially explains the severity of MCS "brain fog." (In fact, a nickname for chloral hydrate is "knock out drops") And as if this were not enough, chloral hydrate has other, very, adverse affects on the body (read the book to learn what they are).

The following pages discuss metabolic associations and then, to my giant smile, Molecular Medicine! What a treat!

The book discusses major chemicals and foods MCS sufferers (and ordinary persons as well) should steer clear of-and yet it is these substances found in things we are exposed to every day.

The book even includes a brief discussion of free radical pathology.

I highly recommend this book

Summary: Right on target
Review: I've been severely chemically sensitive for nearly 8 years, and this booklet is the very best explanation of the illness I have ever seen. I'm ordering a big batch to give to friends and family.

Review: Sherry Rogers was my doctor for a number of years. She was always ahead of her time and now it shows! All of her books are wonderful, informative, easy to read and life saving. I hope everyone gets as much from this and all her books as I have. You'll be amazed at how much you DON'T know about your body, the environment and how we are killing ourselves until you read these books. Trust me, I am only a consumer here, but I pass these books on to everyone I care about and have for years! I'm going to post this to all the books I have read by Sherry. I just can't say enough about this woman. She literally saved my life (allergies, life and health threatening mineral and vitamin deficiencies) and my husband's too (bladder cancer). Love, Susan Manchester

Summary: Good fast introduction to chemical sensitivity
Review: This is a short book, that is good for introducing you to MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity), so you can determine if you might have it. It gives an idea on how complicated this disease is, some of the multiple ways you can get it, and some of the possible cures. Recommended.
