Summary: Lovely Baby Journal!
Review: This journal is so sweet! The drawings, language and format are wonderful. If you like to write down your thoughts, it's definitely for you. The only thing is that I wish there were keepsake envelopes in it, where you can store baby's hair clippings, special cards, etc. I am very pleased though! and would recommend!

Summary: Boo
Review: We'll definitely be returning this one.

Although I've really enjoyed Susan Branch's beautiful illustrations and calligraphy in the past, her drawings of babies are completely unappealing. Many of them are frankly scary-looking! Who wants that in a baby book?

Also, I read the Maryland Parent's review before buying the book, where s/he mentions that the illustrations are sometimes too faint to see. I figured that book must be misprinted copy or something, but mine is the same way. I have 20/20 vision, and I struggled to make out a bunch of the pictures. (...which, in light of the aforementioned homely baby issue, maybe was a blessing in disguise.)

Save your money!

Summary: New Gramma, finds the perfect Baby Book for daughters.
Review: What a wonderful find, I as well as my daughters were looking for something different and unique, not the usual Baby Book, with cartoons etc. This is a beautiful book with wonderful soft watercolor pictures. There are so many catagories to document your little ones progress...more like a special journal. Lots of places to place those special pictures you will be taking. Lots of pages to record the special holidays to come, as well as cute little nursery rhymes and suggestions of things you can do with your baby. You can start from day one of your pregnacy recording things you and your babies father are experiencing. Within an hour of my daughter receiving this book she was busy recording things into it and reading it to her husband. I truly felt as I had finally found the perfect baby book for my daughters to record our grandchildren's growth progress. I hope you will enjoy this book as much as we have already. I will recommend this book to any new mother that is looking for something different, unique and not the ordinary.
