Rating: Summary: I love this baby book... Review: I love this baby book and I hope someday that my son will love his keepsake baby book too. I'm a huge fan of Susan Branch and I just had to have this book when I was expecting my first child. Susan Branch's books are always filled with insightful and warm ways to show your loved ones how much you care about them. The only problem I have is trying to find the time to write in the book while caring for a newborn! Enjoy and have fun creating a wonderful momento for your child to cherish forever.
Rating: Summary: who are some of these reviewers?!? Review: I read some of these reviews and was really confused-- did they buy the same book I did? My little girl is about to turn 3, so I pulled out her Susan Branch baby love book to fill it out and there is most certainly a page for the first haircut. In fact, it has two pages dedicated to it. I love this book. The pictures are beautiful. I love how delicate they are-- washed out?!?!?!? I looked everywhere for a "baby" baby book-- not some book that was overun with bold primary block art with cartoon characters. I leave this book in the bookshelf, and I can't tell you how many I've ordered for myself and others to give as shower gifts after guests see this one on the shelf. The only problem with it? I need a ring binder about 5 inches thick for all the stuff I've jammed into it. I may just take it to the print shop and have it put on a ring binder myself. The reason I was looking at this book again today was to see if there was a Susan Branch school memories book. I'll be waiting for it!!!!
Rating: Summary: A Warm and Wonderful Baby Book For Those Special Memories Review: I'm known for searching endlessly for that "perfect" something for myself, and that "perfect" gift for someone else - and I've found both! Susan Branch's Baby Love Book is, by far, the sweetest and most original of all baby books on the market! I searched far and wide for just the right book to keep my baby's history in. The many that I found were "mass market" - you know, with the characters that everyone knows, or books that just didn't move me to want to keep writing in them and look back in fondness over the years. Susan Branch's Baby Love Book is perfect for those looking to create and cherish a keepsake of their baby's growth. The illustrations are wonderful and Susan's suggestions on childhood books to read and games to play are wonderfully original. I feel that she made this book just for me! Best of all, this book is timeless - there will never be an era that doesn't appreciate this kind of sweetness and warmth!
A must-have for those contemplating parenthood, mothers-to-be, friends of mothers-to-be and everyone else in between!
THE BEST BY FAR!
Rating: Summary: If the house ever catches fire, I will grab this book first. Review: If the house ever catches fire, I will run out the door with my children, the dog and this book. I have two: one with a pink ribbon and one with a blue ribbon (I just cut the pink ribbon out of my son's and the blue ribbon from my daughter's.) Preserved in it are diary entries I wrote while pregnant, the list of baby names we considered, a diary entry of my daughter's first day on this earth, funny bathtub portraits, small smeared fingerprints, one of my daughter's first signatures--all surrounded by Susan Branch's delicate watercolor flowers and sweet poetry. It inspires you to write, remember, and take little round clippings of your baby's face from photographs. If cared for, they become a treasured, overstuffed family quilt.
Rating: Summary: The perfect baby book ! Review: Susan Branch has created a perfect place to record all of the many memories that accompanies the life of the new addition to one's family. She includes a place to write about all the the traditonal information as well as pages devoted to pregnancy and self reflection of parenthood. She encourages a new parent to write with thought provoking questions and a lot of space for pictures and keepsakes. Everything you would expect for a baby book and more. A perfect gift for anyone expecting a new baby. Julie Jones (djones@compulink.gr
Rating: Summary: The perfect size for a busy Mama! Review: This baby book is wonderful. I received this as a gift from my mother before my daughter was born. Now, as she nears 2, it is nearly full. I like its small size. It was easy to fill with all the essential information you wish to record for your child. It is not so HUGE, like many of the other books I have seen. I would like to buy this book again for my next baby. I agree with other reviewers, Susan Branch's images are timeless, and will not look dated in 20-30 years. This book is a classic!

Rating: Summary: Baby Love: A Keepsake from the Heart and Home Review: This is a very pretty book, and probably has the most categories to fill in of any baby book I perused (which, for busy professionals, can be a bit daunting ...) There were two things that made me decide to send it back and to keep, instead, the book produced by the Boston Museum of Fine Arts (A Baby Book for You). (Reasons that are peculiar to me, I might add, and not a reflection on the quality of the book.) First, the book is small in size. In my mind's eye, a baby book should be larger. Second, the watercolor illustrations are so faint that it frankly is hard to see them. An additional minus, in my view, is that the author's name is on the cover of the book. (This is true of the book by Linda Spivey, as well.) To me, a baby book's cover should not take "credit" away from the true authors of the book: parents and child.
Rating: Summary: The Best Baby Book!! Review: This is by far, the best baby book I found, and I searched high and low. It doesn't compare to anything else on the market. This is a beautiful book, and it brings me great joy to add new entries and pictures. I hope my son will enjoy it someday, as much as I do today.
Rating: Summary: a warm, touching way to remember your child's "baby days" Review: This is the most wonderful baby book you will ever find ANYWHERE!! I received it as a gift from my mom when my third child was born, and my only regret is that I didn't have copies for the first two!! Susan Branch's book is filled with page after page of breathtaking illustrations and sweet sentiments that perfectly capture the magic of life with a baby. She also provides wonderful space to record thoughts on 'pre-baby" preparations. I always look forward to sitting down with this book, whether I am adding my latest thoughts or reading previously written ones! Don't let babyhood get by you without buying this book!! Makes a fabulous baby gift!
