Summary: NOT FOR EVERYONE!! This is an INFERTILITY book
Review: This is not a pregnancy book. The majority of this book is a detailed desription of the many different reasons you might be infertile and what you might do about it. The sections devoted to general family planning and nutrition are short.

This is a book for couples experiencing INFERTILITY. It is not a book for couples who are just interested in planning a pregnancy or getting pregnancy health information.

Summary: Stop stressing and read this book!!
Review: This is the most informative book we've read on infertility and getting pregnant. We particularly liked the new findings on food and alternative therapies to boost fertility and enjoy using the relaxation treatments to de-stress. The book also fully discusses what every man should know about infertility and his own reproductive health (something most men don't think about!!). It's a very meticulously researched book and has given us the tools to keep trying to make a baby!

Summary: Our reproductive endocrinologist wrote this wonderful book
Review: This is truly a total gift for every couple who is seeking to get pregnant and have a healthy baby. Our reproductive endocrinologist (Dr. Sam Thatcher) wrote this book, and we are honored to have a copy. Through his brilliance, skill, and patience--and using this book, we are finally pregnant with twins--after 3 years of struggling and trying but with no luck and lots of tears and sadness.
This book could change the destiny of your future family and bring joy (and babies) into your lives and hearts!

Summary: The BEST INFERTILITY BOOK I have read
Review: TO SUM IT UP--MY WIFE IS EXPECTING TWINS!! THANK YOU. THANK YOU!! IF YOU ARE SWEATING INFERTILITY--THEN READ THIS. IT'S EASY TO UNDERSTAND. NO MEDICAL JARGON. HUMOROUS. DETAILS METHODS YOU CAN USE TODAY. THANK YOU.

Summary: The ONLY book to read.
Review: We read the book on changing your diet to boost infertility and ate the recommended foods but with no results. We did yoga and meditated every night to de-stress (per another book's recommendations)--didn't work either. When we read this book, it all began to make sense. The book helped us determine some problems that might be causing us to NOT conceive. The book is comprehensive yet very easy to understand. The baby making tips are superb!!! We both highly recommend to anyone who wants to get pregnant and who feels frustrated with the reading matter available on "how to do this." We especially liked the chapter on choosing an RE, as this is the route we finally decided to take to get results!!
Good luck, Sean, Emily, and Nathanial Greene (4 months old)

Summary: Vague and general
Review: We were looking for scientific, comprehensive information about fertility and conception. We found this book to be vague and general, which is OK if you need some background on general infertility or fertility issues. If you want a much more specific "how-to" on identifying fertile days, knowledge of fertility signs, and how to make detailed charts that will be useful for you and your doctor, then we very strongly recommend Toni Weschler's "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" instead.

Summary: No, not everybody knows how!
Review: When I showed this book to friends and family the general comment was "I thoght you knew how to do that!". Well, sure I did, but this book helped clear up a lot of misunderstandings and clarified many fine points that are not general knowledge. I read the book as soon as we started trying for a baby and everybody said it was too early and it would just get me all worried. In fact the book is a great source of specific information, and it is a good start on the topic since everything is explained easily and starting with the more basic terms and abbreviations to the more complex aspects of which hormone does what when. The glossary is a very handy addition where I could look up terms even long after the first read. It deals evenly with all aspects of fertiliy and provides very person who is new in this game with a helpful guideline. It actually gave me a more relaxed outlook on the question of whether I was fertile or not because it gave me an excellent overview of all the things that can be done today to help fertility along. So, even if the "year" is not over go ahead and read it, it will give you more peace of mind then sitting around wondering what all could go wrong. It is better to know your enemy and take the scare out of not knowing. Enjoy the book, I sure did (and still am every time I read up on yet another chapter that has become relevant). AND since it does not assume you know it all, it is a perfect guide for men trying to understand what is happening to them and their partners.

Summary: Great BABY MAKING TIPS for women & men!
Review: When my OBGYN said we might have infertility problems and recommended that we see a reproductive endo--we were frightened. We were perfectly HEALTHY!! Why couldn't we conceive? We're working on the problems now with excellent medical help, and the RE we see recommended that we READ this book.

This book has given us more information than we could have asked for. It is an excellent book for men and women who wonder if they will ever get pregnant--and stay pregnant. The authors discuss many common pregnancy barriers such as endometriosis, age, ovulation problems, polycystic ovarian syndrome, pelvic inflammatory disease, and more and give the latest methods to manage or resolve these. The book has an excellent chapter on midlife mothers (I was a midlife mother and thought I was still young at 38!) It also has great information on stress management and alternative therapies for relaxing during infertility testing and treatment. I highly recommend this book for anyone. DEFINITELY worth the money.

Summary: I urge all couples to read this book.
Review: Whether you have been diagnosed as "infertile," or are just thinking about starting a family, I urge all couples to read this book. You can help yourself or someone you love to understand the facts about getting pregnant, as well as stumbling blocks that can hinder fertility. The authors have provided a reasonable and scientifically sound book that addresses normal pregnancy and infertility, and have given a wealth of information on PCOS, miscarriage, older mothers, and male factor infertility, as well as low-tech and high-tech solutions that really work. An amazing read for anyone contemplating starting a family!!!
