Summary: Insightful, detailed and full of hope!
Review: A superb book on a very sensitive subject. The authors give great insight into the problem of infertility, esp. with people waiting later to start families, and reiterate the hope of having children using the new techologies available. While many books present the high-tech solutions, the authors wrote with such compassion,I could not put the book down until completion. The chapters on stress and natural therapies for resolving stress were extremely helpful to me and my husband. I recommend this book to all of our friends!

Summary: gives a little hope
Review: a very good book. although it uses alot of medical terminology, it is easier to understand than most.

Summary: Book addresses both "how to" and infertility issues
Review: After reading the other reviews, I can see how some reviewers didn't feel this book was for them. It does focus a lot on infertility treatment. I bought the book because my doctor suspected that I might have difficulties either getting pregnant or staying pregnant. But, I also couldn't remember all the advice my doc gave me on what days were my most fertile. I found this book and it covered everything I wanted to know, including: why I might have trouble conceiving/staying pregnant; what types of treatment are available; how to tell when you are ovulating; and the proper timing to ensure optimum chances of conception. I got pregant (naturally) the month after I bought this book and I know exactly when I conceived. I personally enjoyed reading about the infertility challenges and treatments. But I can understand how some people who don't have those concerns would prefer to have a book focused strictly on "how to" make a baby without using medical intervention. So, I'd recommend this book for those who are trying to conceive the old-fashioned way, but who may have infertility issues and want to understand those issues and how they can be treated.

Summary: Precious book and amazingly helpful!!
Review: After trying to conceive for three of the longest years of my life, we bought this book called Making a Baby. I was attracted to it by the cover! The picture of the baby brought tears to my eyes--it was so dear. Anyway, my husband and I read the book from cover to cover--and LEARNED tons on why we might be having problems. We used the Baby Making Tips--esp. the one on timing ovulation--we'd never done that correctly!! (How were we supposed to know???) Anyway--we DID get pregnant and then we got pregnant again 14 months after our first son was born.
If you are having problems conceiving, this book might help you, too. It definitely was easy to read and the cover made me have GREAT baby dreams!! Good luck!
Oh!! We have TWO precious toddlers now--and we may just do this again in a few years.

Review: After two years of trying to get pregnant with no results, we used the baby making tips in this book; my wife was pregnant within 2 months. THANK YOU. Emma is our life and she's beautiful. Too bad we never knew the ins and outs until now.

Summary: Very comprehensive and thorough. I recommend to anyone
Review: An excellent presentation of how to get pregnant and problems that can arise with men and women to cause infertility. Having suffered two miscarriages, I found this book particularly helpful for my situation, as it outlined the problem of pregnancy loss but also gave some viable solutions. I recommend this book.

Review: And baby makes three!! Great book for those who want to get pregnant and are over 30--and need some ASSISTANCE--NOW! Very easy to read and practical, but also strong with medical information and scientific studies. Our RE gave us a copy of MAKING A BABY, and then we bought one to KEEP for our library. We loan it to friends who are starting families. It worked for us! Cheers!! DAN, CARMEN & EMME

Summary: Super focus on Natural ways to get pregnant & have a baby.
Review: Excellent book and I highly recommend to couples who are wanting to start a family. While we were not diagnosed as infertile, the book had great tips on how to prepare the body for conception and pregnancy, and my husband and I learned a great deal. It's easy to read and understand, and the section on alternative methods to reduce stress was superb, and the diet section was excellent.

Summary: Misleading title!
Review: I bought this book for simple clear baby making tips, what I found was a book focused primarily on infertility. If you want to read about all the things that can go wrong, and get paranoid about foods you eat by all means get this book!
