Summary: A Must Have
Review: I used their Baby Bargains book when I was pregnant with my son and I never bought anything without refering to the book first. I did not use it as much for the savings but for the reviews. As a first time parent I had no idea which products were the safest as opposed to just basing my decision on looks. I bought Toddler Bargains as soon as it was available and I still refer to both books before any purchase. The book tells you what you should look for and what isn't really necessary, things you might not have thought about. GREAT BOOK!!!

Summary: I love this book!
Review: I was an avid reader of the books, "Bridal Bargains" and Baby Bargains", written by the same authors. When they published "Toddler Bargains", I was so excited because the other books helped so much and saved me tons of money when I was shopping and registering for my wedding and during my first pregnancy. Now that my son is 16 months old, I go to this book first for answers to eating, booster seats, toddler beds, clothes, and potty training, plus a lot more. I bought a booster seat recently based on recommendations I found in the book, and we were so happy with it, we bought a second one for our second car. Their book takes all the guesswork out of decisions and eliminates the problem of buying junk and wasting money. Every product is given a letter grade with justification, so you know right away what to look for and what to buy. Also, there is contact information in the book so that you can contact the author. I happened to email a question about something I read, and they responded personally within a day or two. You don't normally get service like that, and I emailed them AFTER I called a manufacturer and tried to get the same information, unsuccessfully. I would recommend this book, plus all their others, hands down. I give their books for shower gifts, and have loaned mine out to friends as well.

Summary: The one book for reviewing toddler purchases
Review: I wouldn't be without this book raising a toddler. It follows in Baby Bargains' tradition of giving the best and most detailed advice I've seen on the key purchases that we need to make (i.e. booster seats, potty seats). These guys have exhaustive knowledge of manufacturers and standards, and allow me to shop armed with knowledge.

I don't love this book quite as much as Baby Bargains, mainly because there are not as many big purchasing decisions to make. Also, I found the booster seat discussion a bit confusing, but still much better than anything else out there.

I'll buy any book these guys write that is relevant to my life!

Summary: The "Must Have" book for parents of Toddlers!
Review: Thank you Denise and Alan Fields for another great book! I purchased their Baby Bargains book before my son was born and couldn't live with out it! I took it everywhere I went. I felt that it made me a better consumer, by purchasing the safest and most well made products.

My son is now 10 months old and I wish I'd had Toddler Bargains sooner! It has information on the best booster seats and sippy cups, which are important to me now. The rest of the book is a wonderful resource and gives me a "heads up" for what to look for in the upcoming months - especially on clearance! An added bonus is that they have a web site where they offer updates - for free!

I love this book and recommend getting it and Baby Bargains as a set for all expectant parents!

Summary: Great advice for busy parents leads to wise decisions
Review: Thank you for writing this sequel to "Baby Bargains." I love bargains, but it's often impossible to fit comparison shopping into my busy daily schedule with my 2 active toddlers. Shopping with my kids can become a true nightmare! I truly appreciate the fact that your books enable "my fingers to do the walking" to find the answers I need to make well-informed choices. This book is full of sensible product comparisons related to price, safety, ease of use, and necessity. How about a "School-age Bargains" edition?

Summary: 3 books kept in my glove compartment...always handy
Review: Thank you, thank you, thank you for writing this book in addition to "Baby Bargains." With a 3-year-old and a brand new baby, I truly appreciate the objective and honest "FIELD studies" that thoroughly explain options to the variety of decisions that must be made. These 2 books are full of sensible product comparisons related to price, safety, ease of use, and necessity. Additionally, practical tips of all kinds are included to help a very busy parent with a toddler make good choices concerning "wants" and "needs"--(such as choosing toys, vacations, clothes, and classes). Along with these 2 invaluable books, I keep "The Pocket Parent" a fabulous quick-read guide of the very same shape that fits perfectly in the glove compartment. This A-Z compendium is written just for parents with 2's, 3's, 4's, and 5's whom (as you already know if you have one) often don't wish to cooperate on money saving shopping sprees. I found so many great tips that work on the spot for such challenging behaviors as the oh so annoying "Gimmes", Whining, Fighting, Interrupting, Bad Words, "I Hate You's", and Tantrums in public that can drive you close to your wits' end. In addition, all 3 books are loaded with compassion and humor, probably because the authors are parents that have personally "been there" too. My husband and I highly recommend these 3 outstanding books to help moms and dads make wise decisions while remaining somewhat sane in the process!

Summary: Well worth buying
Review: This book had many helpful tips, website and product information. I wish they wrote a book for each stage of childhood. There is great information about using EBay for consigning and buying and it got me hooked. It is like my bible when I need to purchase anything.
