Review: My husband was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure recently. Although we haven't had the book for very long, it has already made an impact! In addition to the great writing, it also has plenty of specific tips, treatments (even experimental ones), and even questions to ask your doctor. We'll probably even bring the book with us to his next appointment. While physical health is a focus, Dr. Silver also addresses the mental health of a patient and his/her family by discussing issues with anger and depression that sometimes follow a diagnosis of CHF.

Review: My mother was diagnosed with CHF and I immediately purchased this book for her. She considers it to be her bible and she consults it frequently. Without it, she would have entered into a serious illness alone guided only by her doctor. Now she has a chance to help herself through very difficult times and we her family can help her, too.

Review: This is the book out there that describes what heart failure is and what can be done. Many useful things patients and families can do for themselves. A very complete and compassionate guide...extremely easy to read. Heart failure is the #1 cause of hospital visits by Americans!!! This is not a heart attack. If you or your family member has CHF or heart failure--get this book.
