Summary: If you are a girl, I promise you will like GIRLTALK.
Review: Thanks for clicking onto this page! I've been writing for teens since I was a teen and over 125,000 girls have now bought GIRLTALK--it's even out in Chinese and Russian! I love writing for girls--ages 10 to 19. When I think of how hard junior high and high school sometimes were, I'm glad I can make these years easier for others. (Some people claim these are the best years of your life, but some people have selective memories!) Here's what's inside GIRLTALK: All The Stuff Your Sister Never Told You--* over 150 real letters from girls, all with answers from me (I'm the advice columnist of Girls' Life and I also give advice on TV--I've been on Montel, The View, Oprah, Queen Latifah, MSNBC, CBS This Morning, Jerry Springer...)* embarrassing excerpts from my own teen diary (because yup, I too worried about breast size, hopeless crushes, popularity, siblings, s-e-x...)* nine friendly, funny, and informative chapters: --BODY: Looking And Feeling Your Best --FRIENDSHIP: You Don't Like Everybody, Why Should Everybody Like You? --LOVE: Falling In, Falling Out --SEX: What You Should Know Before Saying Yes --FAMILY: Making the Best of Your Nest --MONEY: The Buck Starts Here --EDUCATION: Getting Through High School, Getting Into College --SMOKING, DRINKING, AND DRUGS: And I Promise Not To Lecture --QUIZZES: Getting To Know YouYM called GIRLTALK "wise, warm, witty...a must for every young woman's library" and Working Mother called it an "indispensable guide for parents of teen girls." But you know what? It's not for parents. It's for YOU!! Maybe you'll read "Is Your Period A Question Mark?" or "Ten Ways To Make Friends" or maybe you'll read about eating disorders or learning issues or STDs or winning the weight war. Whatever you're curious about, I swear to you it's in the book. This third edition is upbeat and up-to-date. Mary Pipher, the author of Reviving Ophelia, says, "I gave my daughter GIRLTALK when she was a teen. Carol Weston's writing is solid, sensible, and kind. I recommend this book." I hope you will too. Thanks for reading all of this. And if you like quotes, check out FOR GIRLS ONLY. Take care!

Summary: this is a great book!
Review: This is a great book. Carol Weston uses her own experiences and helpful phrases to help you understand everything. This book includes tips on hygene, romance, puberty, school, friends, family, and just about everything! If you are interested in any of those items I strongly suggest that you get this book. I read this book 3 times and strongly suggested it to all my friends. It has helpful ideas, like I said, and other girls' opinions and questions on the material in the book. Get this book, I loved it, and so will you!

Summary: EUREKA! I'VE GOT IT!!
Review: to put it simply, i love this book. i received it as a gift from my sister the christmas after my 11th birthday. about two months later when i got around to reading it, WOW! i was amazed at how great this book was. carol has a way with words that makes you want to listen. i like how she doesn't pretend that a teenager won't have sex,it shows she has an ounce (more like a gallon) of sense about her. she doesn't beat around the bush, she tells it like it is in a warm and comforting way. it helped me understand what was happening to my body, and accept it. because of this book, i have gone from an unhappy and chubby adolecent to a girl who is growing confidence, loosing weight, and learning some of the many questions i had about sex and other things. it is REALLY my bible in every way, and i think that anyone age 10 to age 19 absolutely MUST own this book. you just might wonder how you ever got along without it. i love it so much, i'm considering buying a new copy to replace my very worn one! so, get this book! you won't regrete it
