Summary: I bought several copies!
Review: I loved this book so much I bought another copy so that my husband could have one on his bedside table as well. We both do the activities with our little girl and enjoy the useful tips given on each page. I have also given the book to several expecting and new moms as I think it's a great guide for all new moms.

The back cover of the book describes the book best when it says it is "full of prayerful, playful and above all practical information with thoughtful devotions and Scripture verses to refresh your soul."

I found the daily activities easy to follow and great ways to bond with my little girl. Additionally I loved the information that this very experienced mom offered about how a child develops and found my own spirituality revived as a result of the author's gentle reminders about what a gift a child is.

I highly recommend this book and hope that the author will publish more like it for older kids.

Summary: Perfect gift for moms!
Review: Linda Danis has put together a wealth of personal experience, tips, and treasures to share with every mother and mother to be. She has very encouraging words that are helpful in getting through each day as a new mother, as well as practical advice for all those first new moments that every new mother goes through. Our church is giving her book to all new parents preparing for baptism. What a great gift for every expectant mother. Her faith in God is real, and reading it, encourages mine. I will give this book to all my pregnant friends as part of their baby shower gift. I highly recommend it!

Summary: Way too preachy and religious
Review: The book presents itself as a practical guide to doing something everyday to benefit your new baby. However, most of the recommendations involve praying. This book is NOT how what it sounds like. I made the mistake of buying it - don't make the same one.

Summary: Perfect gift for moms!
Review: This is the perfect book for parents and it is now the standard gift I am giving everyone I know having a baby. My husband and I are now reading this book through our third baby's first year, and I am so grateful for all these new ideas - ideas to encourage bonding, to stimulate baby's development and to preserve memories of this precious time. Since the book is set up by weeks and even days, the advice is timely and perfect for your baby's age; (there are even reminders that it is time to set up well-baby doctor appointments, advice for dealing with first immunizations, etc.).

Perhaps most helpful are the encouraging words just when you need them. The reader is uplifted, inspired and reminded just what an amazing calling motherhood is and what a precious time this is with our baby. The author truly knows what moms need and offers the reader the perfect help right when it is needed. (Reading this book is kind of like having a coach or a friend right there with new ideas and words of wisdom just when you need her.)

The first year flies by, and this book is truly a gift to help us capture it, live it fully and appreciate how wonderful it is! Thank you for an amazing book! It is enriching our experience of parenthood.
