Summary: Family cruelty in its' most shocking form!
Review: My name is Detective David Lundberg. I am in the book. The author claimed that I acted as an agent when the media came calling on Teri. I was only trying to protect her. I did not go after a movie deal as alledged in the book. I was only trying to help the victim of one of the worst crimes in America, from being victimized again in the crazed world of Hollywood and mass media. I just want the truth to be known. My e-mail address is Dave_Lundberg@MSN.COM Thank You

Summary: The mother got two 25yr-life consecutive sentences
Review: One of the sons went to jail for a few years while the other was given probation.

I found this information on the Sacramento Bee website by searching the archives in 1995 for "Theresa Jimmie Cross."

Summary: Is there justice?
Review: The author writes the story before the trial takes place; therefore, the book leaves you in suspense of what happened at the trial and if the mother got what she deserved. The book tells of all the possibilities of court but is not able to say that the mother was put to justice. Some possibilities make you feel like the court system may not make this woman pay for what she had done. Very disheartening.

Summary: What ever mother says
Review: The book was very detailed, but due to the fact that Mr. Clarkson printed a picture of me and my children in this book. My ex-husband;eldest son of Theresa Knorr, Howard Clyde Sanders, he began making threats and stalking my children and I. Clarkson came to my house and interviewed me and snapped the picture but promised that he would not publish it. At least Dennis McDougal kept his word when he interviewed me. Then I went to Terrie for help, she promised me that she had things on Howard that she would tell police if he wouldn't leave me alone, it worked, he moved to another state.

Summary: UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Review: THE BOOK WAS VERY GOOD, BUT THE AUTHOR SHOULD HAVE WAITED FOR TRIAL RESULTS. I CANNOT FIND ANYWHERE THAT TELLS IF THIS WOMAN WAS FOUND GUILTY, AND IF SO, WHAT HER PUNISHMENT WAS.

Summary: WHATEVER MOTHER SAYS
Review: This book is EXCELLENTLY well written. No dry parts at all. I couldn't put it down. All about the WORST mother ever! It gives you a look at each of her children, and each of her husbands (she was actually acquitted of murdering her first one!), as well as telling the story of her, from childhood.

I thought it was wonderful the way, he wrote about her children, especially the daughters. It made me feel as though I knew them, and it made me feel great empathy for them. They had their own hopes and dreams, and it's incredibly sad they couldn't live to have freedom.

I CAN'T BELIEVE ANYONE WOULD GIVE THIS BOOK LESS THAN 5 STARS, JUST BECAUSE WENSLEY CLARKSON DIDN'T WAIT UNTIL AFTER HER TRIAL, OR THAT IT WAS "YUCKY" Really! What do you expect from a true crime book? If you have delicate sensitivities you shouldn't read this genre.
Well researched. Excellent book. One of the most gripping I've read in a while.

Summary: Clarkson can't write to save himself!!
Review: This book is so amaturishly written, I'm surprised St. Martin's picked it up!! Clarkson writes in tired cliche's and much of his work is gramatically incorrect. Was it even edited? "Whatever Mother Says" is based on a true story that would have been a best seller had Ann Rule or any other true crime author written it. Sadly, I read the book even after reading the first few poorly written pages. I guess I wanted to get my money's worth!!

Summary: The evil mother
Review: This book was ok but it jumped around so much you didn't know where you were. The authers really didn't go into much detail about the abuse that was going on exspecially to the surviving daughter. The story it self is metocore compared to other true crimes i have read.

Summary: YUCK!
Review: This is about the true crimes committed by Theresa Cross Knorr, a mother of five kids. As her daughters grew up Theresa became jealous of their beauty. She convinced her two teenage sons to help her commit horrible acts upon the daughter and even to burn one alive!

*** This one gives nightmares! I simply could not tell myself this was real! To murder strangers is bad enough, but to murder two of your own children is unspeakable! An insane mother who could be called a modern age Baroness of Blood! ***
