Rating: Summary: Best weight loss program ever! Review: I've been on diets my entire adult life. I failed at all of them and I thought it was always my fault. It was my fault I craved carbs all day long. Then along came this program that gave me back my self esteem. I've been on this program for 1 1/2 years (The longest I've ever been on a weight loss program) and have lost 40lbs (the most that I ever lost). I feel healthier and less hungry.
Rating: Summary: An excellent Life changing Book Review: I wish I had found this book or WOE years ago. I can hardly believe that I am not craving the carbs and sweets anymore. I have them but on MY terms. I would recommend this to everyone. Weight is coming off and quite easly. Good luck to all who buy this. You will be successful.
Rating: Summary: Great plan for feeling well Review: I have been following this program for about 11 weeks and have lost about 15 pounds. The best part is that I have tightened up my physique (the flab is gone) and feel great. My cholesterol is down by 54 points and I no longer fall asleep after meals.Easy reading - Great plan!
Rating: Summary: Good program recommendation ... but painfully simple. Review: This book outlines the causes and treatment of obesity resulting from carbohydrate induced over-production of insulin. The recommended program seems to be effective (in my case) and easy to follow. Unfortunately, the book is targetted for a very low reading level, uses lots of repetition, and minimal scientific explantion. This makes it almost painful to read. The book also provides an extensive meal planning section and recipies. If you can live with the simplistic explanations, then this book will provide useful advice.
Rating: Summary: An easy way of eating for all ages! Review: This is an easy to follow low-carb way of eating which is easy to maintain for a lifetime. I have lost almost 50 lb. in 6 months. I am still loosing a few oz. a week - instead of gaining 3 pounds a year. There is no counting involved. This diet is especially good for people that have PCOS,insulin resistence or are diabetic. This diet does not put you into ketosis! There is nothing dangerous about it. I will never have to worry about my weight again! I am a new person!! And I feel better than I have in YEARS! This way of eating was hard to adjust to for the first few months but now I could not even imagine going back to the way I used to eat (lots of pasta, etc). It was much like a vegetarian must make a conscious effort to change the their way of eating, but now it is second nature. Now if only the airlines would have a choice of low-carb meals!
Rating: Summary: THIS PROGRAM STOPS HUNGER FOREVER! Review: Upon hearing about this program, low carbohydrates, I was extremely sceptical. I have however delved into the book and found it to be an amazing concept that truly works. It was easy to read, and understand, but most importantly IT WORKS! Rating: Summary: Easy diet to follow Review: This book is fairly simple to read and also, more importantly, simple to do. I used to be hungry every 2 hours and never knew why. This book helped explain. I used to have severe mood swings and not no why. This diet is helping me even out. It is a truly amazing thing considering the fact I am not starving myself and yet I still am losing about 1-2 pounds a week on this diet. I don't even do too much portion control. This is a must try for anyone who is sick of being addicted to sweets and sick of using "will power".
Rating: Summary: Great diet book is redundant at first but easy to understand Review: I have lost 22 pounds in 3 months. This is not a diet, but rather a lifestyle change. The first 90 pages of this book are very redundant, but otherwise the book is very well written. You end up understanding what you need to eat and why. I have brought 3 other copies for friends who have seen my progress and want to learn more. I highly recommend this book!
Rating: Summary: Great guide to sane eating Review: Having just been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, I stumbled on this book and it gave me the perfect answer on how to eliminate most carbohydrates from my diet in order to bring the insulin back in balance. I highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Please try this book and program! Review: I've been following the no fat, all carb programs espoused by all the "experts" and have suffered fatigue, soreness from overtraining and...keep gaining weight...until now. This book realistically deals with the underlying problems of weight gain: carbohydrate addiction while offering easy to follow solutions. I've read them all, including the Dr. Atkins all protein program, but I find this one to be the best. About half of the book has recipes in it. Good Luck...trust me this isn't just hype. You'll feel great and lose weight, the right way!!!
