Summary: OMG!!!
Review: I first read this book when I was in 9th grade. I have been trying to find this book for the past 2yrs now. Wheni read this book all I could do was cry. It was so sad to read that a mother could watch this happen to her child. I being a parent myself am more aware of how I talk and act toward my kids. Never in a million years would I ever think of trating my kids this why. Thier lives are way to fragile and precious to loose over any one, be man or woman or money & power for that matter. I'm just glad I found the book again.

Summary: Death from Child Abuse and No One Heard
Review: I first read this book when I was in the sixth grade. I am now 27 years old and have been searching for this book ever since. I could not remember the title or author but was able to find it ... . Thank you ... . This book touched my heart so much. People often asked why would you want to read a book so horrible - it is not the content but how the book made you feel. It is an amazing book and it will surely make you weep. I am very happy I was able to find it after all this time.

Summary: Excellent aid in learning about family violence
Review: I had to read this book for a Family Violence class in school. I am a criminal justice major at a university in Texas, and many times we are desensitized to the effects of such abuse. This book was an excellent aid in getting to the heart of the subject. I liked the references back and forth on how Ursula felt...what she was thinking. I recommend this book to anyone who has children in their lives.

Summary: An Eye opening true story of Child Abuse
Review: I had to read this story in high school. It is the sadest story I have ever read in my life, it kept tears in my eyes the whole time. Just to think that one little girl lived like this her whole life, and to know that there are thousands of children out there who go through this everyday, breaks my heart.

Summary: words falling on deaf ears
Review: I must admitt reading this book did have a sad and deppressing side to it. The book told of the last week of a abused five year old child's life. The book was overall a good book but not something that I enjoyed reading about. While reading this book I found myself asking why do people do these things to children or to anyone. I must addmitt that while reading I did happen to cry about two times just picturing what it would be like in her place, being surronded by people who hated me to the extend where they will hurt me as a child. I only have one commpaint, I hated the way the auther didn't discribe the house in which she lived. The auther left no immagination to the reader which is something that I usually look foward to when picking up a book. The book showed the true side of child abuse it wasn't sugar coated with "Oh hunny I wouldn't do it again." It was a very truthful look at what happens between closed doors and what can happen when children are left unnoticed.

Summary: best book i've ever read
Review: i read "death from chld abuse and no one heard" when i was in 6th grade <5 years ago>. i loved the book, it grabbed my attention in way that i had never felt before. i remember my dad had brought it home and i found it and wanted to read it, my mom told me no, that i wouldnt be able to understand it and that it was too grown up of a book to for me to read. she looked at it, and went ahead and let me read it. i must have read that book 100 times! honest, i took it with me everywhere, to school, to the movies....everywhere! it is an incredible book and i highly recomend it. to this day, even though i have memorized the book, i still read it.

Summary: One of the best abuse books ever
Review: I read this book about 12 years ago when my older sister had to read it for school. It touched my heart so much I have been talking and looking for it ever since. I am now 21 years old and and have a 3 year old daughter myself. I still think about the story I read so long ago about a poor little girl who could do nothing to help herself....All she could do was be abused by the people she loved. In my eyes this is the best book to open peoples eyes that abuse is around.

Summary: unthinkable
Review: I read this book back when I was in college, and I still think about it more frequently than I'd like. I have 3 children and can not believe what can go on behind close doors. What this little girl endured, was horrific. I believe god put this little girl in a safer place. With him.

Summary: A mark in my heart forever
Review: I read this book when I was in middle school and I am now 27 years old and have never forgotten this horrible story of a girl who could have been me. Ursula was close to my age and I even went to school with a girl who brought a picture of her to school since their mothers were friends. I was so saddened by this that is has made a mark in my heart forever. I feel that I have become a better parent and moreso aware of my surroundings with child abuse and how to deal with it. I believe her mother is a sorry excuse for a mother and should have fried for allowing this.....but God will deal with her in the end

Summary: this is a truly excellent book
Review: i read this book when i was twelve years old. the book haunted me for years after i read it. the author really makes you feel for this little girl. i was able to visualize all of it as it happened. i was compelled to read it frequently. i couldnt get enough of this book. i read it over and over during my classes. if this kind of a thing has happened to you, i would still recommend the book, but be prepared for flashbacks and tears. trust me, i know.
