Summary: A lifesaver
Review: I've actually read this book twice, the second time just recently after my husband and I were referred to a specialist and began a rather aggressive treatment plan for our infertility. It was only after this second time through that this book really struck a chord.

Prior to finding this book, I thought I was all alone with my feelings of anger, jealousy, depression, and even confusion over why it was all happening to us. But I found myself relating to the stories and situations in this book so closely. I would read passages to my husband outloud as if retelling a story from our own lives. I'm very thankful that the author was there, experiencing what we've been experiencing and had the courage to write a book about it.

This book has helped both myself and my husband understand that our feelings are normal and that we're not alone. It also gave us hope that someday our dream of starting a family will become a reality.

Summary: This book is like therapy--only cheaper!
Review: Infertility can be a long, lonely road. I would never wish infertility on anyone, but I have often wished for a girlfriend to talk to who could understand what I am going through. As I read Kristen's book, I felt like I was sitting down with a good friend and sharing stories. I cried as I read about the heartache and emotions that Kristen went through. I took Kristen's advice to write down 5 things that I am thankful for each day. It has helped me to remember how blessed that I am in many other areas of my life. Thank you Kristen for writing this book--it is helping me to stay sane on my journey.

Summary: This book brought me comfort
Review: It was a relief knowing that there are other couples experiencing the same thing as my husband and me. Very few books speak so candidly, and in such detail, about personal experiences. I found myself relating to the stories. It was like the author knew exactly what I was going through. I especially enjoyed her tips on how to communicate more effectively with your husband. The book was a quick read and very funny too! I would definitely recommend this book to other couples who are experiencing infertility.

Summary: Soul bearing and humorous!
Review: Kristen's account of her struggles with infertility, which she fills with outrageous wit, resulted in my reading the book cover to cover in one sitting. I loved her willingness to tell her story, and the fact that it ends happily brings hope to those of us continuing to endure infertility and its multifaceted effects.
I would encourage anyone who either knows someone, or is personally going through infertility treatment to read this book. In addition, I had the pleasure of meeting Kristen and hearing her and her husband speak at an infertility conference. Their presentation was enlightening, and created a great deal of laughter at such a "serious" occasion - thank god. Kristen is as genuine as they come :^)

Summary: Can't Say Enough Great Things About It
Review: This book was a God-send as I quickly was nearing the end of my rope. When I received it, I read it in one sitting. I just couldn't put it down. Do date, this is THE ONLY book that addresses the emotional and relationship stress at a gut level. Also, the author Kristen Magnacca, is available by email. You actually get to correspond with the author! She and her book are a beacon for me right now. Thanks Kristen!

Summary: This Book Rescued Me!
Review: This book was a life saver. Oddly enough, although so many of us have difficulty conceiving, few speak so honestly and in such graphic detail of their experiences with fertility doctors, medications, and the medial industry overall, as the author does in this book. Reading it was like hearing the stories of someone who had been through all that I am currently dealing with.

The best part of this book was the honesty with which the author spoke of the communication difficulties her husband and she had and how they worked through some of the different ways they dealt with being infertile. I can relate totally and feel much less alone to know that other couples experience the same issues. I also loved the author's "girlfriend tips" at the end of the chapters. Somehow, she answered many of the questions that have been floating around in my mind for months, but I never knew whom to ask.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is going through treatment for infertility themselves or is close to someone else who is. It was both hysterically funny and incredibly sad and at the same time, it was painful but also a relief to read!

Summary: Hilarious and Comforting
Review: This book was wonderful! While so many of us are spending too much time crying over our infertility problems, this book made me laugh out loud. The author has been through so much herself that she understands what we are going through. She is very sarcastic and she makes fun of things that only someone going through infertility treatments could relate to. She talks about everything from doctors to treatments to her relationship with her husband. While this is not a medical book, she does offer some good advice at the end of each chapter. It was comforting to me to hear about someone else's ordeal and to know that there are other people going through these problems as well. It was also helpful to know that my feelings and mood swings are "normal." This book provided some much needed comic relief and it was a great stress reliever!

Infertility is such an emotional subject, one most people do not want to talk about. It is rare to find such a honest and personal account. I would recommend this book to anyone thinking about infertility treatment.
