Summary: when it comes to children's nutrition this is THE bible
Review: Dr Galland delivers a practical and thoughtfully organized compendium on childhood and pregnancy nutrition. I carried this book with me everywhere for a long time because it takes time to digest all the info, but the time and effort was worthwhile. Now I feel like, when it comes to my children's nutrition, I know what I'm doing, and my children are healthier as a result. It has proved to be one of the most valuable resources on child rearing I've come across. I recommend it to every commited parent.

Summary: This is a Must Have Book
Review: I have been using Dr. Galland as my primary physician for over 10 years (as have my parents, siblings, wife and children.)and his techniques and treatments are nothing short of miraculous. I can't think of a more comprehensive resource for pregnant women and children (ranging from newborns to teenagers) than Superimmunity. My only wish would be that more pediatricians would read this book. After all, the drug companies may have all the money - but they don't necessarily have all the answers.

Summary: The finest book on children's nutrition
Review: I have read many books on children's nutrition, from the standard dietician's texts to the militant vegetarian tomes, and alot that fall in-between. Out of all of them, this is by far the best. Dr. Galland presents general dietary recommendations and supplements for each age group, and for the common conditions and situations that occur. His advice is tempered by experience, and almost always backed up by research. Most importantly, they are effective and are 80+% compliable (no kid that I've met follows any program 100%). This is a must have reference for all parents!

Adults should check out his other book, "Power Healing" for an excellent program that can move them to greater health.

Summary: Superimmunity, good book, but difficult to pull off!
Review: I really enjoyed reading this book, it was very helpful and I agreed with much of what the author said about nutrition. I use much of the information that he gave almost regularly. I have to say however, that much of what Leo Galland states is good but also very difficult to pull off the majority of the time.

I wanted to mention that some of the things are just not do-able with young kids. Much of what he asks us to feed our kids, is not stuff they would eat...especially a child who is 2 years old. ie: liver, seafood stew, oysters, etc. He also tells you to limit sugar to 1 tsp a day total, no added salt on stuff, no fast food restaurants or pizzarias, and no hydrogenated oils etc. These thing may be well and good, but also very difficult for the average mom or dad to pull off EVERY day, especially with todays "supermarket" foods. The book has some good recipes, and some good helpful hints, it even got us eating tofu... but please be aware that you may come away from this book feeling overwhelmed by what you should do and guilty by what you are, or are not doing.

I read it as a helpful tool that helped me make MANY healthy changes and decisions...but not something that I took on as "religion" or something I can do as an EVERY day occurance.

Summary: This book has changed our family's health forever!
Review: I was given this book with the birth of my first child 8 years ago and it changed my life. We have changed our diet forever. The information is clearly stated and helpful. It makes sense. It is an essential guide for nutrition as a prevention of illness. A healthy immune system is the key to health and food is the source to keeping it that way.

Review: I wish I had known about this book before my children were born. I have read it over and over again and have already given 5 copies away to friends. This information puts the parent back in the driver's seat as far as making good decisions about their child's health.

Summary: Amazing book
Review: My daughter was diagnosed with excema, and I was told to put her on steroid treatments to control it. After following the advice in this book, her symptoms have completely disappeared and she is happier and healthier. Dr. Galland's advice is amazing, and has been a blessing to our family.

Summary: Super-great
Review: Our daughter at toddler stage suffered from ear infections, colds, bronchitis, pneumonia,gastrointestinal problems. The pediatrician gave her many rounds of antibiotics. Nothing improved, in fact her health became worse and worse until we followed the advice in SUPERIMMUNITY by giving her flax seed oil in her juice and magnesium and following a very healthy diet. Contrary to other opinions it isn't hard to pass up fast food and create healthy snacks and meals. Our daughter has rarely been

sick since. I have given this book away many times.
