Summary: A great resource!
Review: This book is great for new parents. Good tips, easy to look up topics, and lots of practical advice and medical information. We have found it very useful with our newborn and now buy it for all of our friends who are expecting.

Summary: A Dad
Review: This book is great! I have been able to find almost everything I need to know about our son's health, growth and development in Baby 411. The authors are surprisingly entertaining in describing what could be very boring, but important stuff. My wife and I are EXTREMELY glad we bought this book and highly recommend it.

Summary: Great common sense guide
Review: This book is wonderful - it's no nonsense and funny, reassuring and helpful to a new parent. I bought this shortly after my son was born and have gone back to it again and again, especially for critical information on breastfeeding/eating and sleeping! I learned some really valuable lessons on why babies are just different from us grownups, and try as you might to make them act like you do, they're just not going to. You can fight it or accept it and be a happier family. I will buy this for all of my friends.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: This is a wonderful book! It is well written and very user friendly. As a mother of 3, I have used this book more than any other on my book shelf. I highly reccomend this book to all parents.

Summary: Terrific guide to keeping baby healthy
Review: This is one of the easiest to read baby books that I have come across to date. Dr. Ari Brown and Denise Fields -- a consumer advocate and mother -- have done a great job of concisely summarizing what a nervous new parent needs to know about keeping baby safe and healthy. Their friendly and chatty approach is similar to the approach that Ann Douglas uses in her "Mother of All Baby Books" (another book that has is definitely worth checking out). I also recommend both "Baby Bargains" and "Toddler Bargains" by Denise Fields and her husband Alan Fields. These guides have personally saved me approximately $500 a year in my baby/toddler expenditures -- well worth the price of the books. I am really hoping that "Kid Bargains" is in the works.

Summary: Fantastic Resource!
Review: This is the first book my husband and I turn to when we have questions. I have been so impressed with the book that several of my friends who are first time moms all received copies from us. I highly recommend this book. It is to the point and packed full of information. Being parents for the first time, this guide has been awesome to have!

Summary: lots of help
Review: This is the perfect baby book. It has really helped me figure out what is going on with my baby. She had really bad reflux and I felt so helpless about what the problem was and what to do about it. Baby 411 walked me right through it and gave me lots of practical tips. My doctor's advice was very similar, but the book gave me more info and made me feel better that this was another thing that would get better with time and it did. I also like that I can find answers to what I am looking for very easily.

Summary: BABY 411
Review: What a great book!! I have ordered several copies for friends and family who are expecting babies and can't wait for them to read it. If I had only known all of this 18 years ago when my first son was born. This book is so informative, easy to read and realistic to everyday life. I highly recommend it not only to first time parents, but to those having their second or third child. Congratulations to Dr. Brown and Ms. Fields on a wonderful book, hopefully another book is in the works!

Summary: Riddled with errors
Review: While the book does have a lot of great information, it is also riddled with editorial errors -- and I'm not just talking spelling. Statements in one section often contradict statements in another part of the book. Don't use this book as a primary resource. And definitely don't use this book if you prefer "attachment" parenting.
