Summary: Want to learn all about ADD - read this book!
Review: As an ADD coach and head of the American Coaching Association I heartily recommend reading this book. One of the primary missions of ADD coaching is to assist clients in learning all they can about their own ADD symptoms. Once they have accomplished this they can begin the process of using this knowledge to develop coping strategies and techniques to maximize their strengths and minimize their weaknesses. This book provides abundant information to help coaches and their clients on this journey. Hats off to Kelly and Ramundo!

Summary: The title alone helped me!
Review: As a woman with ADD, undiagnosed until my late 30's, I believe this book contains some of the most valuable and helpful information I have seen. As an ADD coach, I reccommend it with confidence to my clients. Like many people, particularly women, who as young people appeared to be intelligent and well behaved, (aside from chronic daydreaming, or "talking too much"), it was assumed that when I had trouble finishing an assignment, procrastinated on a project, or just plain couldn't figure out how to clean my room, that it reflected willful laziness on my part. I was labeled, "underachiever, disorganized, lacking self discipline," as if these traits were moral weaknesses. Finding out I had ADD did not provide an excuse, but rather a desperately needed explanation for the difficulties that had made my life so unmanageable. Books like Kate and Peggy's helped and continue to help me develop strategies to overcome the challenges I deal with, and to make the most of the very special gifts that I have.

Summary: Solid contemporary science with compassion and humor
Review: This was the first book I read, and it immediately helped me with its insights, solid scientific data and frequent compassion for the ADHD adult. It was easy to read, because I can't sit still to read long chapters. I was able to understand the ideas, and I still use it frequently. It is the book I most recommend to anyone interested in learning about ADD.

Summary: It is great.
Review: After having been diagnosed with ADD many people suggested that I buy and read this book. It is great. I found out that I had ADD after my son was diagnosed with it. It has been very helpful for both of us. Learning that I was not unique in my craziness was very reassuring. I keep a copy on my desk, although I cannot always find it.

I have given a number of copies to friends and they all agreed that it was the best book on ADD that they had read. If you can just read one book about ADD, this is the one I recommend.

Summary: For ADDers who have diffulty in sustained reading.
