Rating: Summary: first time mom Review: A friend gave me this book as I was expecting our first child. I loved filling out the pages thinking that someday I would be able to share this with my child.I makes a wonderful present for all moms. I have given a couple out as gifts and everyone loves the book. Some day my daughter will cherish it.
Rating: Summary: The best of the memory books that I found Review: Because I wanted to give my two children a book of memories for Christmas, I looked at a number of ones found in various bookstores and online. A Mother's Memories to Her Child was the one that covered the topics that I was most interested in sharing with my children, which included my faith and my heritage from my parents. I also wanted to be able to personalize the book for each of my children, which I was able to do with this book (I actually completed two separate books -- one for each of them). My only objection to the book is that it doesn't cover a mother's college education or profession, which are important parts of my life, but I just added that part on my own. Also since I am a widow, I had to make some minor changes to the sections about their father (it would require major revisions for someone who is divorced). Overall though, it is a beautiful book that I enjoyed creating for my children.
Rating: Summary: Mother's Memories to her child Review: I bought this book for my mother as a birthday present, and we both love it. It was a wonderful way for me to learn things about her I would have never even thought of to ask. It contains Kinkade paintings in every chapter as well as other beautiful pictures. The book consists of fill in the blank questions (for mom), touching on many different subjects ranging from her childhood memories, and continuing throughout her life experiences. This is deffinately a keep-sake which I will have to hold onto the rest of my life and to show to my future children.
Rating: Summary: Capture memories... Review: I received this book as a gift and it is wonderful. The book is a memory book. It has questions and space for the mom to fill in life events for her child. It covers basic questions such as where the mother was born, grandmother and grandfather's names, things that were happening in the country when the mother was born etc. It also goes deeper and helps the mother record memories from her life growing up and then during the time of her child. I particularly liked it because I'm a single mom and adopted my daughter and this book works well for us. Some "baby books" don't "fit" our family. This one does. I will fill it out as life goes by and someday have a hopefully treasured keepsake for my daughter. Nice job of having Thomas Kinkade pictures sprinkled throughout the book.
Rating: Summary: POOR ADVERTISING! Review: I was VERY disapointed to see that this book was so religious. EVERY page related to some sort of religious conversation. While I am Christian, I did not buy this book looking to tell my child about my prayer or beliefs. It is very misleading and now I have to pay the return shipping costs for this, which I am not happy about. I also purchased the Father's Memories book by the same author and was also VERY, VERY disapointed. DO NOT buy unless you are looking for a book to discuss your CHRISTIAN beliefs... if that IS what you are looking for, then this would be a good book.
Rating: Summary: POOR ADVERTISING! Review: This is the perfect gift to give my children. I am also going to purchase one for my parents so I will have something I can remember them by.
