Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: MOMMY-CEO : A GREAT BOOK FOR CHRISTIAN MOMMY-CEOs! Review: Mommy CEO meets the need of a host of moms looking for approval of simple ideas they're already doing--or needing help with typical problems that all Mommy-CEOs face. It's a mommy-help book from a Christian perspective--and I recommend it and the author as being knowledgeable, compassionate, and a great help to moms everywhere!
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Common sense on easy issues, doesn't address hard ones. Review: I had already found everything in this book via common sense, friends & confidence in myself. After most of what I read, I found myself thinking "Duh!" More importantly, the author seems to be breezing through by commenting on the easier aspects of parenting (don't scream at your kids - duh!) and avoiding the tough ones, such as setting and maintaining age-appropriate boundaries -- for that you are told to read other guides. ... there is nothing of substance here.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: REAL MOMS ARE CEOs Review: This book will empower ALL moms who feel unappreciated, over-worked, under paid, lonely or completely wiped out! The parenting tips are great and cover colic, potty training, preschool, homework help and organization through teens, and on and on. The over scheduled chart is quite helpful in planning for activities all year. The author has follwed the rules KISS - keep it simple stupid - throughout the whole process. The motivational skills for our kids are so practical and doable and the format is easy to read. The one thing my husband picked up on was that the rules and many of the tips can be used right in his office among co-workers and even clients. MOVE OVER BUSINESS WORLD - there's a new kid in town and she is a MOMMY CEO. I would also like to recommend two other books which I feel will only compliment Mommy-CEO. They are The Family Manager, by Kathy Peel and Your New Life as a Mom, by Sheryl Gurrentz. Before I forget to mention, Mommy-CEO offers insight into taking time for yourself and shows you how to get everyone into the family chore and responsibility ritual WITHOUT NAGGING! This - my mommy friends - is GOOD STUFF and will grow our kids into self-respecting teens. Sounds too good to be true, but it is so incredibly on cue and a great treasure for years to come.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Mommy-CEO: 5 Review: I really enjoyed Mommy CEO! I am a first time mother of an 18mth old boy. I found the tips to be useful for the present and in the future. I wish I had this book when my son was first born because there is so much valuable information. Being a first time mom, I have found this to be a very useful and supportive tool. Fortunately, the information in there will help me with handling his temper tantrums, potty training and other parenting issues. I never realized that being a mother is in fact a CEO. Being a mother is, in my opinion, harder then any full time job. I have been a stay at home and work at home mom since my son was born! I enjoy every bit of it. I feel that I carry two titles Mommy CEO and CEO of a home business. After reading Mommy CEO, I felt appreciated for being a mom. The dedication and the hard work all of us mothers go through all deserve the title Mommy CEO. If you are a first time mother or mother of several children, I definitely recommend this book!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great Book For The ENTIRE Family! Review: I can only relay positive feedback on Mommy-CEO...the NEW Revised Version. This is a great book that covers so many aspects from teaching responsibility and accountability to your children to the "little things" such as hugs and an appreciative comment to your children. More than that, I find this book to be an enhancement to the entire family and not just to your relationship with your children. The q&a format makes it easy to read and refer to and the pages reserved for "notes" is another unique feature which will make for an interesting read as your family grows. Mommy-CEO offers much wisdom and practical advice as well as a very important message to all famililies...respect and appreciate difference. Whether it be your children's tastes in food, the difference in their school performance, their active or passive personalities or having a child with special needs and disabilities. Take every difference and unique experience with your children as a gift, and it will give for the rest of your life. Jodie...great book thank you.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Parents Will Realize They Are Not Alone Review: The challenge of raising a family never becomes easier, it only becomes more complicated as new ages and stages progress. The truths of God's Word are relayed extensively throughout Jodie Lynn's new revised edition of Mommy-CEO, without becoming overbearing. Her guidance comes across as practical wisdom, not as a sermon. The truths of each chapter relate timelessly to the reader again and again for their family life. Parents may not always ask for help, but will usually accept it where they can find it. Jodie's effective explanation of what each parent is or will soon be going through gives a sense of peace and community as readers discover that they are not alone.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: ... Rates Mommy-CEO 5 Stars! Review: ... I have had the opportunity to review many parenting books, and this is by far my favorite! There's nothing worse than parenting advice from a childless, so-called "parenting expert" -- you won't have that problem here! Jodie Lynn shares her real life parenting experiences and also offers advice from other parents -- the REAL experts! Instead of trying to repair behavioral problems, Jodie Lynn suggests you prevent them by teaching your children respect and responsibility at an early age. This advice makes so much sense as opposed to sitting back years down the road and wondering what went wrong. The best part is she doesn't just tell you to teach them, she tells you HOW to teach them by following her "Five Golden Rules"! Mommy-CEO should be required reading for new parents -- I'm so glad I discovered it while my children are still very young. This book would make an excellent shower gift for the soon-to-be parents!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Has a Variety of Answers to Questions about Tots-Teenagers Review: I just bought this book due to the recent review that mentions it as "a toddler book" under another parenting book I purchased with it called "The Happiest Toddler on the Block". I was mislead by that review because this book is NOT focused solely on the toddler years but rather addresses a number of issues relating to tot-teens. It has some helpful information, but because it is so very short, there is not enough in it that meets my needs to warrant the purchase. If you are looking for a general Q and A book from other parents with children of all ages, "Mommy CEO" might be a good read for you.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great, practical book! Review: Mommy CEO covers a wide variety of parenting topics -- whining, biting, homework, temper tantrums, over-scheduled kids, potty training and much more. It's a great overview of parenting tips and an easy read. The book would be a great gift for any new -- or not so new -- parent.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Holding The Home Together Review: I listened to Jodie Lynn speak at a workshop last year and her book, Mommy,CEO is a trademark of her energy and commonsense tips. I found the book essential reading for all parents who wants to see their kids succeed in life.
She tells us that we should always love our children but we don't always have to like them but also persuades us to blame the behavior and not the child.
We have children that came to live with us from their dad's house and to my shock, they were full of labels like, idiot, sum bag, stupid, retard, and things I cannot write here.
After several months of family therapy, we are on our way as a mended healthy family. It's still a long road but we have jumped many hurdles.
Our therapist recommended this book for the basic day in and day out parenting skills that we were simply not equipped with.
It has changed our FAMILY TEAM for the best and offers us a life in the future to become excited about as well as inspiration to do the right thing with these emotionally abused stepchildren.
Mommy,CEO is a unique book because it encourages parents to take a look inside ourselves to see if we can make changes that will translate into a better parent.
Over and over she tells us to stop, look and listen to our tone of voice and our body language, as any good Parent/Life Coach.
In Mommy, CEO, parents teach other parents what has worked for them in their house for a specific problem -- everyone ends up learning better communication.
It is one of the best resources you will have on everyday situations. I enjoy the layout of the index because it offers quick topic guidance.
It's worth the money and it's worth the time it takes to follow the rules. We have found that the 5 Golden Rules are interchangeable in the business environment as well.
It's so hard being a first time parent to kids who are not your own, but this book has helped me grow personally as not only a parent, but as a person.
