Rating: Summary: Great buy for a mother with a sense of humor. Review: I found this book adorable. I have four kids ranging in ages of 6 months to 4 1/2 and can relate to the humor of raising kids. It also reminds me of why I subjected myself to the stress and chaos of having my wonderful children.
Rating: Summary: Adorable! Review: I found this book to be full of absolutely adorable photos and captions. It made me laugh out loud several times. It's a lighthearted look at motherhood - bits of wisdom mixed in with humor. Charming! I would recommend it as a fun gift for a mom or a mom-to-be.
Rating: Summary: only mothers can understand this GREAT BOOK!! Review: I just read another review from an expecting woman with her first child and was sad to hear that she was depress after reading this fabulous book. Honestly women have no idea to what being a MOTHER is until you are one!!! this book was a blessing to me as now I know that in some aspects of raising a child, I am not the only one who thinks that some days are horrible! I am buying these books for my mohter & mother in law this year for mothers day and I know that since they are MOTHERS they will be able to understand and appreciate this book and reflect on the wonderfull journey that they have as MOTHERS! THIS BOOK MAKES MOTHERS HAPPY EVEN WHEN THE GOING IS TOUGH AND I RECCOMEND THAT YOU GET IT FOR ALL YOUR MOTHERS!!!
Rating: Summary: Another winner in this collection Review: I love every book this man has put out! The pictures are priceless but then you add the little comments at the bottom and they become hysterical. I found the comment from the lady who's mom bought her the book because she was expecting her first child very comical and have a feeling that once she has that child, she will find the humor in the book because almost every single page has happened at one point or another if you have children. Kids are hard work but they are also the single most important thing you'll ever do and are an endless source of joy. I give these books as gifts a lot and they always bring a smile and most of the time, burtst of laughter.

Rating: Summary: Waste of money Review: I read a copy of a friend's THE MEANING OF LIFE, and loved it. So, I went out and bought a copy of it for my daughter. I was thrilled to see THE INCREDIBLE TRUTH ABOUT MOTHERHOOD and thought it would make a very nice gift, as she has a two year old. I wrote a note in the front of it for her. Then I read it. Needless to say, I am angry at myself for writing in it so I can't take it back. I was actually offended by a picture of animals having sex. I am not a prude, but, I felt this was out of place in a book like this. I also don't understand why he chose to use profanity (mild, but still...) I will not give the book to my daughter. Actually, I don't know what to do with it. It was a waste of my money.
Rating: Summary: Cute pictures, but... Review: I'm expecting my first child, and my mother gave me this book because she knows I like animals (especially the cute babies!) After reading the book, though, I was downright depressed to the point of tears about becoming a mother. It basically tells you your children will be horrible terrors and not ever appreciate a thing you do, and that your husband will be even worse! The writing is bitter and twisted compared to the pictures. I do give a couple stars, because the pictures are cute if you don't read the text.

Rating: Summary: makes your heart happy Review: Such fabulous photographs I am on line buying 4 copies for gifts. The cover caught my eye at the grocery store and I purchased the book. Got home and read it, too cute, had to have more. Now I am on the computer ordering and sending them to friends and famliy in the States. A perfect gift.
Rating: Summary: candid and true Review: the "foul" language mentioned in other reviews consists of 2 or 3 "..."s, nothing vulgar. there is a picture of 2 animals having .... but it more looks like the male bear is giving mom a backrub with a caption about parents being walked in on during "intimate moments". this book tends to highlight the *wonderful* points of parenthood. i have a 2 year old and i was able to relate to most of the book. i think it is a wonderful book that looks at the not-so-pretty truths of parent/motherhood. it is a great laugh and would make a great gift for any parent or parent-to-be.
