Review: My son gave this book to me for my birthday - he's only 2 so his daddy did a great job of picking it out. I love to read him the classics and the illustrations are very endearing. Thanks honey for a wonderful birthday gift and thanks to the editor for making this collection available to us moms.

Summary: A Beautiful Book
Review: The pictures and artwork in this book make it a true treasure. The stories, songs and more all brought me back to my childhood. My daughter (16 months) loves to flip through it and look at the drawings. Matter of fact, she runs to it quite often and wants to look at it! It isn't really a "childproof" book for her age.... hence there has been pages removed and it is heavy. But she loves it! This would make a great gift for a new mom.

Review: This book is just great. It has all the old classic fairy tales, lots of activities to do with you child, for instance how to make play dough, bubbles, paper dolls and many more. Great poetry and nursery rhymes. Very simple songs that all children should learn. It also has finger games and recipes for simple things. It is a great book that all mothers of young children should have!

Review: This is an adorable book. The pictures are very nostalgic, reminding me of the older books I have inherited from my grandmother. I have spent a long time just looking at the pictures. This is one of the neatest aspects of this book. Some of the classic fairy tales, poems and rhymes are included in this book. Very nice. This would be a great resource for a grandmother who doesn't want a lot of books on her shelf or doesn't want a lot of childrens books hanging around. My one complaint about this book is that in some ways it's the type of book that you love at first sight but have a hard time really using. I say that because there are so many varied things in it- recipes, poems mom and poems for kids, quotes, stories for kids and for mom, etc. I am sure that I will never use the recipes because this book will sit on my shelf in my room to use when my son climbs into bed with me in the morning.. I'll forget about the recipes. IF I kept this in the kitchen, I'd never sit down and read the quotes etc. However, it's a lovely book with a nice collection of a variey of readings- poetry, rhymes, quotes, songs, stories, finger games, and more. This would be a nice gift for a baby shower or a mother's day present. I am not sure I would have picked it up for myself, mainly because I have so many books of quotes, recipe books and children's books that the items in this book are most likely repeated elsewhere.

Summary: The Perfect Gift for Mom, Dad and Baby!
Review: This is one of the best children's books I have ever read! I agree with the other reviewers that every parent should have a copy. This book makes a wonderful gift for first, second and third time parents since the whole family can enjoy the classic stories, songs, games, recipies, poetry and crafts! I have sent out four copies as gifts so far and have heard only high praises from all receivers.

Review: We love this book and so does our two year old son. We catch him singing some of the songs and he has memorized nursery rhymes. Jake and Daddy love this book before bedtime. It's a must for all new parents. And I am going to buy "The Little Big Book for Dads.
