Summary: uugghh
Review: When I saw this book I was really excited because I thought "another chicken soup for the soul book!" Well I was wrong! I couldn't believe how corny and fake the stories were. and the themes created by the authors throughout the chapters made it even worse. The book claims to be original but it is really a take off of the chicken soup for the souls and an awful one at that! i havent even finished the book yet and i don't think i ever will! if you want to read REAL stories by real teens then the chicken soup for the soul books are the way to go!! not these books!!

Summary: How to survive your teen years
Review: "Your teen years are the greatest years of your life." Yea, right! Whoever said that must have been overdosing on anti-depressant pills! I don't mean to be melodramatic, and I not one to say that adolecense is horrible as I've only been a teenager for three years myself. At any rate, you spend much of your adolecense fighting with the two main components of your life- friends:peer pressure, dating, love, etc; and family. Your friends and family expect alot of you and that can make life extremely stressful! Bettie B. Youngs, the author of this book, and the mother of a teenager as well seems to know this well and her book wil help any teen to realize that she/he isn't alone. Being a teen is tough, but Bettie and her daughter and coauthor Jennifer help you to realize that you WILL survive! This book is not only helpful, but fun to read as well. I also highly reccomend "A Taste Berry Teen's Guide to Managing Stress and the Pressures of life.", also by Youngs. This book is extremely helpful because it breaks down all the different stages of stress. She's my new fave author!

Summary: What a Rip Off
Review: I bought this book because I saw it advertised with the other Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul books. I still don't know if it is part of that series but if it is something went terribly wrong. I loved the other books, but honestly this one stank. I could not even read more than a few stories. Then there is this dribble in between stories that they didn't do in the other ones. Someoen please tell me...is this a Chicken Soup book?Or is it a rip off? Whatever you do ..don't buy it, stick to the ones by Jack Canfield and Kimberly Kirberger.

Summary: exciting book
Review: I read the book Taste Berries for Teens by Bettie B. Youngs and Jennifer Leigh Youngs. I found this book to be very interesting because it includes real stories written by teenagers and response to their problems. I can say that I enjoyed this book a great deal. It left an indelible mark on me. It had a myriad of topics about love, friendship, and other difficult situations. There are numerous short stories and most were written by teens. If you are a teen, you will like to read this book not only because teens wrote the stories, but also so you can hear about real issues that other teens have gone through. If you ever read the book Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul and you liked it, you will take pleasure in reading Taste Berries for Teens! They are both very alike. If you think these kinds of books are just for girls, they are not because boys also sent in stories about their issues. This book gives moral advice for any tough problems. It you are a teen who likes short stories about love, friendship, and other though issue I recommend you read this book.

Summary: An ispirational book for all ages.
Review: I really enjoyed this book. It has stories about love, friendship, parents, and popularity. Even if you are not a teen you will love this book! The stories are uplifting and joyful, yet sometimes a little sad. If you liked Chicken Soup for the Teen's Soul you really need to read this! I highly recommend it and hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Summary: Not another Chicken Soup
Review: In no way did this book compare to chicken soup. The storieswere short and meaningless. The people who wrote this book must nothad ever been teens or they would have know that any teen it's right mind would not enjoy this book. Don't waste you money on this book. Buy Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul 1 and/or 2. Because taste Berries for Teens just taste sour.

Summary: a great book
Review: Some people don't like this book because its not like a chicken soup book and they say the stories have no meaning. But they do to the people who wrote the stories and sent them in. They took their own time to do it and I thought that was nice because they helped put the book thgether.I thought the stories were inspirational.I would reccomend this book to any one for a rainey day book or just a book to read any time because it is uplifting and encourageing.

Summary: A Few Shinning Moments
Review: Taste Berries For Teens was just like any other "Chicken Soup" book. If you do not tire from reading these stories of hardships and achievements, then Taste Berries For Teens is great for you. Though, I found it a bit dull; it did have its shinning moments. The shinning moments in the book were brief and strong. Taste Berries For Teens made me become a slightly better person.

Summary: All distractions aside, this book just doesn't cut it
Review: This book promises the same sort of inspiration and relevance to young people as the Chicken Soup for the Soul books but it fails to deliver. I think, similar to the Teen Love series, this book tries too hard to offer something more than the Chicken Soup books that it does itself a disservice... the author attempts to add in extra sections in between the stories that only come off as condescending. Whilst some of the stories are worth reading, none of them managed to stir up the same emotion and feelings as the Chicken Soup series and if you are looking for this type of book, I strongly suggest you look towards the Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul series which now features over 5 excellent books full of encouragement, originality and inspiration.
