Summary: Congratulations! Someone finally put this into print!
Review: As a psychologist, I have observed the Indigo phenomenon for years. I have called it "evolutionary behaviours." This is a must read for anyone who has anything to do with children. The Indigo kids are here and deserve to be understood, not drugged! I have recommended this book to parents, teachers and counsellors for greater insight and tips on how to deal with, motivate and generally enjoy these beings. Thanks to the authors for taking the time to enlighten us.

Summary: A must for all parents, teachers, or anyone around kids!!
Review: This book nails it on the head exactly!! Do you have a child that you don't understand and can't do anything with? Or one who is an absolute angel, but doesn't really need a parent? These are indigo kids, and at last it has been recognized, identified, and some thoughtful and loving directions in which to help these wonderful beings grow to their full potential. As the mom of at least two and possibly four indigos, this book is long overdue!! I am buying lots of extra copies for anyone who has anything to do with my kids...especially their teachers.

Summary: What is an Indigo Child?
Review: The Indigo Child is a child who displays a new and unusual set of psychological attributes which reveal a pattern of behavior generally undocumented before. This pattern has common unique factors which demand that parents and teachers change their treatment and upbringing of them in order to achieve balance. To ignore these new patterns is to potentially create great frustration in the minds of these precious new lives. • Can we really be seeing human evolution in the kids today? • Are they smarter than we were? • Why do so many of our children today seem to be "system busters"? • Why are they committing suicide and killing each other? • Why are so many of our best children being diagnosed with ADD and ADHD? • Are all of them really ADD...in need of being drugged, or is there more to this story? • Are their proven working alternatives to Ritalin? Join international authors and lecturers Lee Carroll and Jan Tober as they bring together some very fine minds to discuss and expose this exciting premise. Many alternate methods of treating ADD are presented, and you won't believe some of the spiritual aspects of this study! These children are very different, and represent a great percentage of all the children being born today...worldwide. They come in "knowing" who they are, and must be recognized and celebrated with the correct guidance.

This book is a must for parents!

Summary: You KNOW your child is not like kids we grew up with...
Review: Children today seem brighter, more opinionated and definitely more defiant. They are master "button pushers" and come into this world with a sense of "royalty". These children often act and talk like adults in little bodies - appearing wise beyond their birth years. Traditional parenting methods simply don't work and cause considerable tension and frustration in families.

If you've been pulling your hair out (and reading any parenting book you can get your hands on!) trying to find something, ANYTHING, that will help you become a better parent or teacher to a challenging child like this, this is the book. You'll learn that it's not your imagination --- kids really are very different than previous generations. The book is full of tips and advice on how to guide these children into adulthood.

The "What Can You Do?" chapter offers more than 60 pages of useful information from twelve experts. Topics in this chapter include "disciplining the Indigo Child", "seven secrets to raising a healthy and happy child", "teaching the children", "sending potent, positive messages to children" and much more.

This book will help you recognize and celebrate your children for their exceptional qualities --- and, most importantly, provide new ways to guide them to adulthood while showing them you love and care.

Summary: Those Supergifted Young Old Souls - the Indigos
Review: I was doing research for my book on parenting using astrology (The Baby's Astrologer by Warner Books) and found this book on Indigos to be very interesting. I had come to similar conclusions regarding this generation of children from an astrological perspective.

While there now seems to be a lot of hype around this subject of supergifted children (there are evolved, Old Souls being born into every generation), it is great that this book brings greater understanding to their special needs. It's great that some parents will be dissuaded from automatically seeking drugs to help their super-sensitive, hard-to-handle kids as a result of this.

In The Baby's Astrologer I give methods of visualization and healing that can assist parents in handling their "Indigo Baby". However, I must stress that such techniques will help ALL babies to unlock the healing and psychic gifts within them.

All children are special and with the right nurturing will reveal this super-sensitive side, healing, intuitive side - obviously some more than others. Just as there are also a lot of us INDIGO ADULTS - (hey, sounds like another book!)

Now there are also some future generations coming up that are going to be even more interesting......

Summary: Amazon review does not reveal this book is dangerous.
Review: From the Wikipedia article:

"The Indigo Child concept was first popularized by the book, The Indigo Children, written by the husband and wife team of Lee Carroll and Jan Tober. Carroll also claims to be a channeler for "Kryon," a spiritual entity who predicted the coming of the indigo children."
