Summary: From an Indigo's perspective...
Review: A helpful book for those who wish to REALLY understand why their children are different. For those who cannot accept that, the truth will remain the truth to your children no matter what you wish to think. The book might have been more useful if it were written by ACTUAL Indigo Children--how are the readers to understand a forgien concept if it does not come directly from the source? No one is suggesting ALL INDIGO CHILDREN ARE FROM OUTER SPACE! The book may offer different explanations for the Children that not all might care for, but it does reveal many of the relevant facts that cannot be denied.

Summary: Not helpful or current
Review: I was very disappointed in this book. There is so much helpful information out there today on reaching these children, but it's not in here! What you will find are lots of generalities, and far out philosophy! The writers don't seem to know what they are taking about or how to put an organized thought together. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Summary: One crazy book
Review: If you have a child with ADD or ADHD, this book will waste your time. Do you believe that your child is from outer space and a space alien? If so, read this book. This is a very strange book for people who must be really nuts! Unable to accept their children for what they are, they believe that they are from outer space! My child has ADHD, but my child is very much human! If you want realistic down to earth advice, look somewhere else. This book is from outer space!

Summary: Disappointment
Review: I was looking for something that would help a parent with a child who has ADD. This is NOT the book. This is rather some far out theory that the children are from outer space!

Summary: The Indigo Children: The New Kids have arrived
Review: I found this book full of fresh thoughts and ideas, i am enthralled with the concept and as a midwife feel privaledged that i may be one of the first people to touch these precious new/old souls. The book was well backed with knowledge from lots of sources. Each is fully credited and acknowledged. In every chapter there are personal stories and anecdotes which definately add to the power of the book. I was totally captivated and was left hungry for further information about this and other like minded information.

Summary: Valuable advice on how to deal with kids
Review: This book provides very valuable advice on how to approach kids that do not fit some "expected" norms, but unfortunately it tries to make a point that is not that supportable. Kids like the ones described in this book are not new; they have been around for centuries (read Twain for reference). What is new is society expectations of how kids should behave. I would recommend this book to those who have been convinced by school officials and doctors that there is something wrong with their kid, and are trying to look for alternate treatments and different approaches rather than drugs, to deal with those children who prefer to behave like children instead of small adults, or who are having a difficult time accepting the pressures we are putting on them. Before running to drugs which might have long term effects that have never been researched, read this book and apply its advice. You'll see a difference in your kid behavior, regardless of the color of his/her aura.

Summary: Our kids are space aliens!
Review: According to this book, our children are from outer space! This is real weirdo stuff! Not at all reality based. Perhaps some medication would help the authors find reality!

Summary: Misguided, but not All Bad.
Review: This book would be very helpful for a parent whose child has been diagnosed with Attention deficeit Disorder. It offers aternatives to conventional treatment and great resources. Unfortunaltey, it tags these children as part of a spiritual movement and is judgemental towards children that have good results on medication as having "brain damage." Interesting in a way, but completely oversimplifies into a deluded attempt to turn children into some kind of celestial saviors. I suggest going to the indigo children webpage and taking the resources without having to buy the book. And if you do decide to buy it, have plenty of salt on hand.

Summary: Special Kids ARE here
Review: I really enjoyed this book. It has helped me to parent my child in a more calm manner. However, my only problem right now is that my child is so small that it is hard to tell if my 2 year old is Indigo. There are many wonderful case stories of how parent deal with their Indigos. Having worked in many daycares I have seen these behaviors emerging and it is very curious. This book is a wonderful way for parents to learn some creative parenting styles even if your child is not Indigo.

Summary: A Real Alternative
Review: In reading this book, I recognized so many characteristics of myself, my son, my husband. Having some symptoms of ADD, my son is having a difficult time in school. His teachers want to label him and medicate him. This book really helped me to learn that there are alternatives and gave me ideas that really helped to give us some concrete plans that I believe will really help.
