Summary: Everyone should have a copy of this book.
Review:

I feel that seeing such clear photographs has helped me to visualise my own unborn child and thus helped me to bond at an early stage (before the bump even appeared).

This is a pregnancy text book which takes you through every moment of your unborn child's development. The pictures are excellent: you'll read the book so many times that you'll recognise the photographs when they're used in magazines. You can read the book cover to cover, but you will keep coming back every few weeks to see what your baby looks like now.

There is some prose about underlying feelings (e.g. 'endlessly walking along the beach', 'a couple rejoicing in their love' - you'll get used to these if you find them 'touchy-feely' at first).

Review: A great book for expecting parents!

This book provides a clear cut week by week perspective on the child birth process. We learnt a lot from this book and will never get rid of it.

Review: A wonderful, classic book that I purchased before our 2nd son was born. My first copy was loaned out, but never returned! Excellent and heart-warming photos, even for young children.

Summary: colorful, emotional
Review: an absolutely remarkable collection of photographs archiving what happens till and after a child is born. makes your heart jumb when you see this magnificent miracle of human creation, how 2 cells turn into this beautifully designed creature. it doesn't neglect the emotional aspect of each stage in pregnancy. it shows you how the child is created, how he develops in stunning photos, and even during delivery; the difficult hours of labor. very enjoying to go through it with your wife specially if she is pregnant.

Review: Having just recently discovered that I am pregnant my thoughts immediately went to the book that I could spent countless hours studying as a child in Sweden in the early 70's. It is a tremendous comfort to discover this new edition that now gives me as much support as it sparked my curiousity then. A true classic!

Summary: Maybe I expected TOO much
Review: I agree with the other reviewers that this is an amazing book. There are a lot of great photos...other books don't even begin to compare. My only complaint is that there was a point in my pregnancy where there weren't any pictures of my little fetus to compare to. I really enjoyed looking at the book periodically to see what my baby looked like and was disappointed with the long dry spell. Still, it's a great book.

Review: I baught this book when we started trying to have a baby. Now that we are expecting I love to look at the photos of unborn babies and see how my baby is developing. This is such an amazing book. I havent been able to find this information or photos like these anywere else. It is so well written and is perfect to help explain to children about life, especially if they are expecting a sibling to be born. I cant speak highly enough of this book. But it is more than well worth the read.

Review: I bought this book years ago. I was in my 20's and thinking of starting a family. I was capitvated by the pictures and the indepth information. At 35 I became pregnant with my first baby born June 1999. This book was a wonderful way for my husband and I to share in the experience and see what was happening each month. I'm buying it now as a gift for friends who are expecting their first baby. Buy it!!!!!
