Summary: From Fatigued to Fantastic
Review: From Fatigued to Fantastic is one of the most comprehensive, informative books on Chronic Fatigue (CFS) and Fibromyalgia I have read. In a myriad of ways, the author relates new, ground-breaking information which is fresh and new and does it so well that there can be no misunderstanding of what he is trying to convey. The book touches on many different types of health problems while revolving and relating back to CFS/Fibromyalgia. This is a timely book on the topic. In my opinion, the book serves to create hope for those affected by the health problem, and gives very valid ideas for treatment. I personally have not learned about these medical breakthroughs through any other books on this topic. I gladly give the book a 'five' rating.

Summary: Enlightening
Review: I feel I've gotten more help from Dr. Teitelbaum's book than from the doctor's I've seen. Their staff is also very helpful if you call or e-mail a question. It's my opinion that Dr. Teitelbaum may be an even better psychologist that he is a doctor. The only drawback that I see is that Dr. Teitelbaum's solutions seem to be quite expensive. The average person with a family using Dr. Teitelbaum's protocol would have to work pretty long hours to pay for the treatments and of course, the average reader doesn't have the capacity to do that or they wouldn't be drawn to the book in the first place. Overall, I think it is a very good book and I do use some of Dr. Teitelbaum's products.

Summary: Useful & Informative
Review: I felt this book provided easy-to-understand information about CFS, what causes it, and how it develops. It also gives clear and precise instructions on what you can do to relieve symptoms and begin recovering. I liked it because it provided a lot of natural treatment ideas that I can do at home without my doctor's help.
I'ave completly stopped coffee now. It was a sudden decision and I couldn't wait to get started so, of course, did it all at once and had the most horrible, awful headache. I finally broke down and had a 1/2 cup coffee one day instead of taking aspirin and that did the trick...for the moment. Now I'm completely caffeine-free and don't miss it at all. I indulge in a wonderful replacement for coffee made from soya beans called "soyffee". I bought it online at www. S o y c o f f e e.com and cannot believe how good is the taste. Well, this book also explains how to find products and physicians to help you. Of all the books I've read on CFS so far (and there have been many) this one has been the most helpful by far.

Summary: Good book - but ---
Review: I find this an excellent book! The reason why I titled my review this way is : it calls to attention to the fact that I have not been able to locate a doctor, in the three states I have lived in over the past decade, who is willing to go with such recommendations and prescribe me accordingly. I do what the books say, but then easily become discouraged as I know I'm only doing "half the program".

Summary: Some encouraging ideas but omits celiac disease
Review: I found hope in this book at a time I felt fairly hopeless and still think it presents a lot of worthwhile ideas to explore.

However, my chronic fatigue turned out to be due celiac disease (gluten intolerance) which is thought by some researcher to have a prominence as high as 1 in 133 in the USA. Since fatigue is one of the most common symptoms (and sometimes the ONLY symptom), celiac disease deserved at least a mention in this book. There are no references to it (or to gluten as a potential toxin) at all in the book that I could find.

As a result, I spent considerable money on recommended supplements which did nothing for me. Even so, one or more of the ideas in here might be just the ticket for someone else suffering from fatigue so it's definitely worth a look.

If you're interested researching this possibility, check out "Dangerous Grains" by Hoggan and Braly or one of the many other excellent books on gluten intolerance for sale here on Amazon.com.

Best wishes in your quest for health and energy.

Summary: The light at the end of a very long tunnel!
Review: I have been suffering with chronic fatigue for most of my life. 7 years ago we thought that we had found a medication that would work, but to my dismay stopped after about a year. It has been a very long battle ever since. I am a motivated person, but my illnesses always threw road blocks up on every path I tried to follow. I finally sunk into a desperate depression thinking that this is what life was going to be like for me. This book was a godsend, validating all of my feelings, concerns, worries, anxieties, aches and pains. And showing me that there is help available and life doesn't have to be this way. It is like the light at the end of a very long, dark tunnel!

Summary: From Fatigue to Fantastic
Review: I have had CFIDS since 1991, had read over 25 books on CFIDS and had been 95% cured. Then in March of 2000 after a total hysterectomy, I suddenly had horrific pain. I got back into the book stores and found a medical doctor that has CFIDS and FMS himself and has dedicated his entire medical career (over 20 years) to helping others with CFIDS/FMS. Easy to read and to understand for the patient, family members and doctors. I had never understood how the two illnesses were different until I read his book. He references ALL of the medical research being done by normal doctors on normal patients, then he takes this information to the next level about how it relates to CFIDS/FMS patients. His purpose seems to be to help patients, family members and their local doctors to understand more about CFIDS/FMS with HIS CHAPTERS WRITTEN SPECIFICALLY TO DOCTORS, his questionaire forms and protocal sheets. He even gives the list of tests needed, their parameters for CFIDS/FMS patients and the medications needed, to help YOUR doctor help you to heal in a reasonable amount of time. Yes, his office visit is expensive, but if you choose to go to him, it is well worth every penny, BUT he gives you the tools and his knowledge in this book for just a few dollars, so that more local doctors can understand, empathize and treat their own patients and help fellow family members, effectively. His website is: endfatigue.com He also has published one double-blind study, and is in the process of releasing his second study with even more profound results for his treatments for the CFIDS/FMS patient. I personally have given away over 20 books, to doctors and fellow CFIDS/FMS patients, so that other people will get the help we need to cope, recoperate and rejuvenate! Feel free to contact me, also: Karen Crockett rcrockett@home.com

Summary: If you or someone you know has FMS/CFIDS read this book.
Review: I have implemented many of Dr. Teitlebaum's suggestions over the past three years. As a five year "survivor" of FMS/CFIDS I found this book to be extremely helpful. I have recommended this book to my treating physicians as well as to all those people I have met who experience severe fatigue.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I found the book very informative in all areas of CFS/FMS
Review: I have read Fatigue to Fantastic and have found it vey informative and have already started myself on some of the advice in the book. It explains CFS just as it is. Jacob Teitelbaum MD. tells it just like it is. Having suffered with himself makes you feel even more secure in reading his articles and following his advice.
