Review: I absolutely loved the book. I never knew anything about the natural cleansing of the body. I read the book and followed it and it made sense with great results. Not only did I accomplish my goal of weight loss but also the added benfits of clear skin and eyes. I felt cleansed inside and out. I can only imagine the toxins that must have been building up in my system over the years. Now I have a new and improved healthier me!

Review: its hard to call this book a diet book because its not like you are starving yourself you are changing what you eat and changing with what and when. i use to tip the scales a 240 lbs. and found no time to exercise and just by reading and putting to use what ileaned about how my body works i lost 65 lbs in about a years time slowly but surely. i highly reccommend this book it will change the way you eat and what you eat for the best.

Summary: I told my family about it! It's great and it works!
Review: I learned that the body has a time to digest and eliminate. I really liked the part about milk, I tell people that "Milk does not do a body good". I had known about food combining by reading Norman Walker. I agree 100% of what is being said by both Diamond's. People who don't agree are just ignorant! Keep up the good work.

Summary: "Fit For Life" Works!
Review: This book has completely changed my life. I was very skeptical when I first read the book. After all, "experts" bombard us all the time with how important meat and dairy products are for the average person. I believed it. I did not know anything about proper food combining, detoxification, natural hygiene, or the proper intake of fruit. However, Harvey and Marilyn Diamond have convinced me that this program works! I started "Fit for Life" in late January. I weighed 283 lbs, felt lethargic all the time, and had indigestion frequently. Since then, I have lost 26 lbs, feel wonderful, and am more confident about my health and appearance. This book should be read by anyone who wants to improve his or her health. God bless you Harvey and Marilyn Diamond!

Summary: This book changed my entire view of eating.
Review: I first read this book a few years ago. Right away its message resonated with me. I recently ordered 2 copies from Amazon to replace the 1 I loaned to someone and didn't get back. Now I have 1 for myself and 1 to loan.

As a Christian, I believe that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. I want to take the very best care of this temple while I have it.

I have adopted the principles of FFL and as a bonus lost 20 lbs. and have kept it off. I also do a long fast twice a year.

Summary: excellent it saved my life...
Review: This was my answer to 30+ years of poor eating habits. I feel this book along with Fit for Life II and Fitonics is the reason for my successful and tremendous weight loss. I read the book in 1997.In April of 1997 I weighed 391 pounds. Today, January 1999 I have lost 175 pounds. These books saved my life. I still have around 65 pounds to lose by this summer. I feel better than I ever heve in my entire life. A big thanks to the Diamonds in writing books that defy a great deal of american myths.

Summary: An excellent approach to natural weight loss!
Review: One of the most interesting and controversial books to ever come out on the topic of good health and weight loss, Fit for Life sold millions of copies and helped many people. The book was largely ridiculed by the established nutrition experts who at the time attacked the credibility of the authors Harvey & Marilyn Diamond.Whilst the critics went about their fault finding ways, hundreds of thousands of people around the world received incredible health gains and weight loss by following the simple principles.

The book is actually based on the study of Natural Health, or more specifically Natural Hygiene, which is a lifestyle philosophy which has been practiced for over 100 years. Natural Hygiene is a way of eating that is in harmony with the bodies natural cycles, thereby allowing the body to cleanse itself of built up toxins which our normal western style diets don't allow. Basically the body has three main cycles, but the key one for good health and weight loss is the elimination cycle.. Fit for Life shows you how to eat in a manner that is in harmony with these body cycles and the result can be a dramatic increase in energy and feelings of well being, as well as a resultant loss of excess fats and toxins.

If you have never read Fit For Life you should most definetly get yourself a copy and give it a read. It makes good common sense and after a week following the principles you'll feel great and be on the road to good health and losing those excess pounds.

Summary: Starting program 1st Jan 1999 - will keep you posted.
Review: I got my copy 4 years ago & have read it 4 or 5 times since then. The principles contained in the book make sense to me. The book is easy to follow with a natural progression through each of the subjects discused. It is going to be my reference manual for the coming months. I will measure the the value of the book by the results I achieve. This is one 281 pound, 40 year old male, about to test the product..... I will keep you posted.

Summary: Complete quackery
Review: I read through about 1/3 of this book several years ago when I finally decided that it was complete quackery. For example, the main theme of the book is that different foods will produce either "acidic" or "alkaline" digestive juices. Where are they getting this from? Enzymes digest food, aided somewhat by an HCl solution in the stomach. I don't know where they came up with the "alkaline digestive juices" idea--presumably they just made it up. Further nonsense about "live atoms" vs. "dead atoms" convinced me that the authors have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. Just Say No.
