Summary: A wonderful, insightful, and inspiring book
Review: This is a marvelous reframing of behaviors and brain-wirings that so often are referred to as "defects" or "disorders." It's easy to read, straightforward, accessable, and filled with insight. Highly recommended! (Thom Hartmann is the author of 6 books on ADD.)

Summary: This is the most relevant book on education for ADD children
Review: This book is not just a how-to book for ADD parents and teachers, but it gives insight and explanation about the educational process for each individual subject. It is amazing how quickly you get results by following the instructions for not only ADD kids, but most kids in America today. We have become a visually stimulated society hence more people have become visual learners. The schools need to teach visually, not auditorialy ie (lectures). I have read many books on ADD, but I cant live without this one. Each year I purchase a copy for my son's next teacher so that he and everyone else in the class can benefit from the wisdom in this book.

Summary: More people need to focus on this key issue.
Review: This book takes the unique approach that children with ADD are not necessarily broken. It unlocks the reasons behind the reality of why ADD is often mistaken for a visual learning style which clashes with the traditional school curriculum. The beauty of this book is that it gives concrete steps so that a parent or child can work effectively with this new breed of child. Much more needs to be unearthed about this emerging learning style, or we will all pay a heavy price.

Summary: Unlocks the mystery of the innovative, intuitive dreamers...
Review: Finally, a concise, innovative, and successful method for unlocking the potential of the creative, unconventional learner! I recommend this book to all parents and educators who want to gain an understanding of a child or teen who is often described in pejorative terms by some, and in glowing terms by others... chances are good that that learner has a "right-brained learning style".

Summary: Excellent
Review: As a foster parent who teaches left brain/right brain theory to other foster parents, this books makes great sense. For several years, I have been saying that the information I have read about right brains (and experienced since my husband is right brained) and ADHD were too similar to ignore. Now Mr. Freed confirms what many of us has suspected: our ADHD youngster is smart, creative, and emotional. Thanks for pulling it all together

Summary: Finally Some Light at The End of the Tunnel!
Review: I believe this book offers hope for parents of children with ADD. After years of struggling through left-hand teaching and tutoring and wondering why it wasn't working here is something that after following a few easy tips is already showing results. You try so hard to do what is right for your child but knowing the RIGHT way to do it is the key!

Summary: Great book for parents and teachers!
Review: Great book! A must read for both parents and teachers. On page 52, the left-right brain continuum is featured showing how at the beginning of the right brain there is ADD, going further right is Dyslexia, and at the far right we see Autism. Parents, teachers, everyone involved with children need to realize that right brained children have a lot to offer. It's time to get involved join the 20th century, and change the left brain schools. It's not what our children are learning, it's how they learn that will let them all suceed.

Summary: a must for parents of ADD children
Review: This book offers many different views on ADD and the ways that children with it learn. It is very supportive in the way that a parent will realize that they are not alone in this situation. The techniques for helping children learn are very practical and useful. Anyone can use Mr. Freed's methods. This book reads very easily and quickly, you don't want to put it down. It gets you excited about being able to help you children so completely.

Summary: A positive and supportive guide to ADD
Review: Drawing on a wide range of expert opinion and
his own extensive experience, Freed with his
co-author presents a sensible portrayal of
the ADD individual and other visual thinkers.
He demonstrates how the schools frequently ig-
nore the thinking and learning style of the
ADD student and help disable him. Practical
chapters on spelling, reading, writing, math,
study and organizational skills, and class and
school placement provide straightforward ways
to bring the strengths of ADD kids into their
education and allow them to be successful.
Concluding chapters discuss the use of drugs
in limited ways and other treatments for ADD.
This is a comprehensive, practical, wise, and
very supportive book.

Summary: Great practical advice
Review: This book is a great handbook for a parent or educator dealing with children who a visual learners (including dyslexia). Often these children are labeled as ADD/ADHD. It provides handy tips on reading, writing, math, testing and other areas that often trip up these children. It also provide a much needed boost of confidence for both parents, educators, and children themselves when doing some of these exercises.
I highly recommend this book for any teacher who is willing to put in some effort to help their visual learners.
