Summary: Succesful attempt for a boy!!
Review: After studying this book and following the directions my wife and I were successful. The ultrasound was very very clear that it was a boy. My precious girl was born on my 41st birthday and our boy is due on my 44th birthday 6/2/2002.The book is easy to understand for anyone, but I could appreciate the theories involved because I have a biology and chemistry degree. The book is based on science not old wives tales, follow the directions and it will work(with God's help of course).

Review: This book is wonderful....We finally got our girl after having 2 boys. We are now complete and have a balanced family. It gave us the knowledge we needed to give us the edge over the 50-50 chance .

Summary: looking forward to trying method
Review: I purchased the book out of curiosity. I currently have 2 healthy boys and am considering try again hopefully for a healthy girl. The book was easy to read and fully explains in detail the do's and don't for whatever sex your trying for. although i have not yet tried the method i would recommend reading the book. hopefully in a few months i'll try for my girl. wish me luck!

Summary: Not a Believer
Review: My husband and I both wanted our first child to be a boy. After six months of doing everything described in the book TO THE LETTER, I still wasn't pregnant. We followed the timing, used ovulation predictor kits, had intercourse in the described position, and followed all of the guidelines. NOTHING. After six months of frustration, my husband and I decided that we would be happy with a boy or girl, we just wanted a baby. We went back to doing things the old-fashioned way ... and BOOM, we got pregnant after one try. An ultrasound has just confirmed that the baby we're expecting is a BOY! Even though we basically did everything the opposite of what the book instructed in an effort to just get preganant with ANY baby. This book has some useful information about conception, and basic facts about acidity/alkilinity that I thought were interesting. Sadly, however I do not believe that this method has any bearing on sex selection.

In How To Choose the Sex of Your Baby Dr. Landrum Shettles provides a sufficient number of updated materials and information on competing methods. He includes information of the new ovulation timing technologies and gives recommendations for the proper use of certain douches to enhance both boy and girl methods and he provides the reader with an explanation of the underlying rationale for those methods.

Review: my only complaint is that it takes a while to get to the pure technical data. overall, i am happy with it, and reccomend it. also, it is not a big book, so you can read it in a few days, or even crunch it into one day.

Summary: Dr.Shettles How to choose the sex of your baby
Review: I have 3 children,2 boys and 1 girl.I am currently trying
for one more (my last).After I had my second son,I came
across this book,I used the method for the girl,and lo and
behold I got my beautiful daughter.She is now 7 yrs old and
desperately wants a sister.I am trying to conceive using
the Dr Shettles method again,and I am confident I will suceed
in having a sister for my daugther.I have recommended this
book to several friends and relatives.Most have used the
method with sucess.My neice is pregnant,expecting in July 2002
she used the ovulation timing and the baking soda douche.Hope she
has her son.I highly recommend this book.It is amazing.

Summary: IT WORKS!
Review: AS THE MONKEES ONCE SAID....I'M A BELIEVER.AFTER MARRYING A WOMAN WITH A DAUGHTER, AND HAVING A DAUGHTER TOGETHER, WE DESPERATELY WANTED A SON. A FRIEND TOLD ME ABOUT THE SHETTLES BOOK AND HOW IT HAD WORKED FOR HIM. WE BOUGHT THE BOOK AND IT MADE A LOT OF SENSE. WE ALSO LEARNED ALOT ABOUT THE REPRODUCTIVE PROCESS. WE FOLLOWED THE BOOK'S INSTRUCTIONS AND GOT PREGNANT THE FIRST TRY. A FEW MONTHS LATER WE HAD THE ULTRASOUND AND WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A BOY. MY WIFE AND I ARE SOLD ON THE METHOD AND RECOMMEND THIS BOOK HIGHLY.

Summary: Interesting reading
Review: For those people who say the method doesn't work, did they not read the book! The book clearly says that it's not 100% guaranteed. It only says that you can increase your chances using this method, and it gives some pretty convincing evidence. I've had friends who have tried this method, and it worked, but just know that it's not going to work for everyone, it's not guaranteed.

Summary: After 35 Years, a boy in the family!
Review: I am truly a believer! it has been 35 years since my family had the last boy.. my brother had 4 girls and my sister 1 girl.. my first baby was a beautiful girl. I then decided to read Dr. Shettles book to try and get a boy. After reading the book and following it carefully, we finally have a bouncing baby boy! My family amd myself are ecstatic. I Greatly recommend this book to everybody! Thanks, Dr. Shettles!
